The Royal Oak Inn — Restaurant in Wales

We stayed at The Royal Oak Inn for one night as a group, we booked the family room and two singles. The rooms are very clean and tidy, and the beds are so comfy. Love the added heated blankets! (Just be aware that if you have the family room, the extra bed is a single fold out futon, which may not work for everyone.)

The staff were amazing! My Husband and his friend were biking and arrived a few hours before check-in, but were made comfortable in front of the fire and given towels to dry themselves off. They really couldn't have asked for better service.

The food we had was lovely, I especially enjoyed the mushroom tagliatelle and garlic bread, thank you!

All in all, an excellent place to stay while travelling...

Well I just like to say a massive thank you to the gorgeous Amanda & hubby John & the family for bringing the Royal Oak back & I mean back to how we as a family remember it to be ❤️23 yrs we have been coming on/off on Hol & staying at the camping & caravan club. The welcoming from you guys was amazing 🥲. The food was fantastic & delicious 😋 💯 2wks of being there I nearly tried all of the main meals 🤣🤣🤣. You all are as a unit doing such a grand job 🤗😘can’t wait to see you all again & hopefully soon …Absolutely a great place to stop off & have a drink or two. Avoid this pub. Dismal place with incredibly rude and unwelcoming landlord. We called in for a lunchtime drink after a walk, intending to walk up from the campsite in the evening for a meal. Landlord's terrible attitude meant that we decided not to give him any more of our money. Had a great meal with lovely atmosphere and extremely friendly staff at the Neuadd Fawr in Cilycwm. Towy Bridge pub is also lovely with riverside garden and a friendly welcome. I can only doubt the authenticity of some of the 5 star reviews given to The Royal Oak on here. Unrecognisable as the pub we visited. Such a shame as it has a great village location - such a missed...
