Excellent pub, friendly welcome from all the staff. Their knowledge of the local area was fantastic and we were delighted to find such a fabulous watering hole after a beautiful meander through some of this area’s ancient industrial past. This is one of those special, secret places the locals don't tell you about. Ignore the main menu. Pick a delicious pie from the specials board. Lovely local pub with welcoming friendly and very helpful staff. I chose it as a dog friendly pub with food as I'm camping nearby. The homemade pie was delicious! The local gents were in as football was on but as a single female I didn't feel intimidated at all. They were indeed gentlemen. Recommend it to anyone who wants good food...
