We couldn’t have been more delighted with my birthday buffet party at the Upper Cocks yesterday. Everything was perfect and everyone enjoyed themselves so much. Mani and her staff did us proud and making arrangements with them was very easy. The food was delicious, very fresh, a great variety, including a lot of spicy food at my request, and there was so much of it. The price was very reasonable. This is now our second visit to the Upper Cock, first time was for Sunday lunch, second time was a Saturday evening meal. The menu has such a great variety, but also cooked to an amazing standard, portion sizes are more than what we expected, so also gives you great value for money. I don't live in Cwmbran nowadays but I used to drink in the Upper Cock Inn 40 years ago and all through the 70's and 80's. In those days it was simply a pub for youngsters. Today in 2017 the landlord has turned it in to a pub with lovely food whilst still retaining the traditional /family atmosphere. All ages seem to enjoy it there and I look forward to frequenting...
