The White Lion — Restaurant in Wales

Excellent food. Warm and friendly staff. Lots of live music, & also kids activity events. Football on tv and pool table too. Also dog friendly and a lovely relaxed atmosphere... all in all it's the perfect community pub.

We've had a couple of meals recently, both midweek and a Sunday Lunch. On both occasions the food was outstanding. We've also just popped-in a couple of times for a pint and to enjoy the great atmosphere and live music.

It's actually wonderful to have such a community orientated pub, just on our doorstep.

I honestly cannot rate The White Lion high enough. The new management & team have really brought this pub back to it's former glory, in the short time that they've had it, and I can only see it getting better and better. A real gem of a pub....

We are very sorry you where disappointed with your experience, We had very unfortunate delivery issues for the two weeks before your visit due to no fault of our own, so we can only apologise for that. Our bar staff member though is not in experienced and works in other pubs in the area and has done for years. Would just like to add management where not downstairs on the night in question as they were planning and prepping for a huge charity event happening the next day (no fun with friends that evening unfortunately) Also our toilets are cleaned every morning by our cleaner and can only apologise if they had been heavily used during the opening hours. Called here today as a last resort cos our usual places were too busy with the rugby... so glad they were cos this place was amazing! Friendly service at the bar as soon as we walked in, made us feel welcome, really good choice of food on the menu, we had garlic mushrooms and pate to start then both had the cheese and bacon burger... food was amazing!
