The best Sunday lunch I have ever had anywhere. The food was superb from the delicious whitebait and salad to the roast lamb and perfectly cooked vegetables. I particularly loved the side dishes of cauliflower and cabbage with their beautiful flavours. We enjoyed great service from efficient, unassuming staff. The ambience of The Woodlands Tavern was delightful. As I was visiting from Australia,it was the perfect venue to while away the afternoon chatting to childhood friends I had not seen for many years. They all agreed it was the best Sunday lunch they had ever had and will be back. 5 star from me.Wish I could take your chef back to Australia!

My new No1 favourite place to eat! -First off, the food is done to a high or dare I say very high standard with generous portions, so if you love hearty meals that also taste amazing, this is the place to go bar none. I honestly was super impressed and almost don't want to tell everyone how good it is so I can have it remain a hidden gem. The staff were lovely friendly and genuine and the atmosphere is relaxed. It is a perfect place to enjoy a meal.

Wanted somewhere for a nice lunch on a Sunday, and the Woodlands Tavern was just great. Never been before and the food was great, in fact the roast dinner (I had beef and my partner had lamb) was fantastic. Great beef, crispy fluffy roasties, cauliflower cheese, red cabbage, gravy, horseradish sauce, etc etx. Brilliant. Service was absolutley lovely and the beer was great. Well done to this place!

At last..a destination pub where the food is genuinely prepared with skill - on site! Congratulations to the chef. Thoroughly enjoyable proper cooking. The pesto mash was so tasty - and tangy creamy leek sauce on a generous fillet of salmon with broccoli spears. A great meal. Often pre bought commercial sweets are sugar laden to extend shelf life - unpleasant. The Key Lime Pie here was delicious- creamy and zesty to perfection. The four of us were delighted with our meals and whilst 2 are going back home to Australia we are looking forward to our next treat of a visit - felt proud that we could show them a Welsh place for a great lunch. Thankyou Woodlands Tavern you deserve every...

Our first visit last Sunday for lunch - we'll definitely be back! As soon as we arrived the staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient. I pre booked (got the last table!) and to check wheelchair access. We were seated at a table which was perfect for me to transfer from my wheelchair to a chair - and totally level access 😀 Little touches like a carafe of water and bread rolls (without having to request) before our meal were spot on. As for the Sunday lunch - what can I say except EXCELLENT! Perfectly cooked, plentiful and so tasty. It's very rare to have a Sunday roast, where every item on the plate was faultless, and don't get me started on the...
