Two Brewers — Restaurant in Wales

I am writing under my husband's name (his google account) but my name is Karen. We haven't visited for a while until today and definitely will not be visiting again. We ordered a diet coke and a lemonade plus food. The drinks were vile! Tasted like sweetened water and nothing else. The food was taking a while (as it was so quiet) but we wouldn't have minded if we could have enjoyed our drinks. I mentioned my concerns to the lady serving (the Manager she informed me). Apparently the drinks have been looked into and nothing found wrong, it's the syrup they use. And they are usually and meant to be drunk as mixers with shorts! The attitude of the young lady wasn't exactly professional and very defensive to the point of becoming a little confrontational. I was told the food was literally just being plated up and they'd been having the fridge fixed all day! At this point I had lost my appetite. The food was immediately served but I informed the Manager that we were going to leave. Especially regarding the drinks situation at which point I had mentioned 3 times! At this point I was told she was about to offer us a different drink! I advised that we were still leaving. (In fairness the food smelled and looked lovely). We waited at the bar to ask for a refund on the drinks. A different young lady spoke to me then to the Manager. We had a cash refund for the drinks. Cannot recommend not to...

I hate to change my review but today was the last DISAPPOINTMENT that me and my family will ever endure from this pub. We called from the other side of town to ask if a particular game will be shown and walked there in scorching weather only to be told that they can only show two games at the time?Well we rang and you confirmed with the shift manager? On another occasion I've tried to get my free pint after having ten and the staff said they were not doing that for ages when a day before was in with my mate and he had the same card with 10 stamps on?They were even having a laugh on my expense. Other situations existed that you would not have to put up with in another pub but you do because you are taking your family out and you don't want anything to ruin your day and you won't let that happen. But this has put an end to everything. Staff is very rude,untrained and they give nonsense...

The pool table's weren't charging anyone so myself, husband and 10 year old decided to have a game. We aren't locals so assumed it was a free day as others were playing also. When the staff realised that the pool tables were giving free games they came over to check on them as it was a fault. Not a problem, and said we would pay for our go as we didn't realise. They then proceeded to pot the rest of our balls without asking and ignored us. We asked why they did that as we were almost finished and said we would pay for the turn. They were very rude to us including to a ten year old child saying it didn't matter as they can't afford to give away free go's. Very rude and dismissive and my son was upset. Won't...
