We booked a superior room with a two-hour spa pass. Upon arrival, we enjoyed a nice lunch before heading to the spa. The spa itself was lovely, with a cozy outdoor saltwater jacuzzi that felt especially soothing on a cold day. The swimming pool was inviting, and both the sauna and steam room were fantastic. The only downside was the lack of a drying facility for swimsuits. Unfortunately, the superior room was a letdown. Located in the loft, it felt cramped, with limited space to move around. The low ceiling made the sofa unusable, as there wasn't enough headroom to sit comfortably. The TV was small and positioned too far from the bed, making it hard to watch from there, and sitting up to view it was difficult due to the sloped ceiling. Although there was a sofa, it was off to the side, making it impractical for TV viewing. The bed was just a standard double, which felt undersized for a superior room. We also noticed cobwebs in the bathroom window, and when we opened it, flies would fall into the bath. The tea and coffee facilities could have been improved, as the kettle was placed in a corner where it was difficult to reach without crouching. Overall, the spa was a highlight, but the room didn’t meet our expectations for a superior experience.

Good location just off the A55, ideal for exploring the stunning scenery and walking routes. Recommend the Dinorban Arms pub not far away.

(🌱 Vegan-friendly) Absolutely lovely. We actually came here because the place we wanted to go to was closed and this was open - how glad we were! From the moment you drive in to the car park, the building looks swish and impressive, with the glass walls showing off one of the dining areas to the nearby Clwydian Hills, and you know you've come somewhere nice. Walking in, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere, even on the fairly quiet Monday evening that we went, is warm and chilled as the likes of John Mayer and the Red Hot Chili Peppers play over the speakers. The food was absolutely wonderful; the veganised gnocchi was one of the nicest vegan starters I've ever had. I could've eaten that for all three courses. For main, we had the homemade vegetable balti, which was also very tasty - especially the rice - if a little overly spicy. Plenty of other vegan options on the menu, some adapted, others as they were, but not so much for dessert with the usual sorbet or fruit on offer. Shame that there wasn't any nicer cider on tap or in bottles, just Koppaberg and Carlsberg's own stuff. Didn't detract from a lovely meal though. We will be going back very soon. Cost £45 for 2x two-courses and two drinks.

We booked our stay as we had planned to meet friends for a night out at Rhyl Pavilion. A couple of our friends live in St. Asaph, my parents have a lodge next to your hotel and our other friends parked their caravan for 2 nights on your adjoining site.|I will now list our thoughts:|Check in: |Not enough signage directing exactly where we access the check-in point. Surely a buzzer would be helpful for your customers to use, this will also enable the receptionist that they are needed by guests rather than the guests going through numerous doors to find someone.|So, check-in was therefore very hap hazard, we had to search for someone to check us in after going into the Spa and asking where we do this. Feelings on this are this was unprofessional; Spa ladies weren’t interested they just directed us through another door and all they were doing was standing around and talking, no offer to assist with finding someone. Then who we found had us walking to various areas in the building as the keys had been moved and she had lost the ability to smile.|No offer to help with luggage, just brief directions on where the room was. |No questions on access to see if we had any accessibility issues climbing 2 sets of stairs.|We felt like our hotel stay was not important, it was more like an after thought that the rooms could be conveniently let out to accommodate customers wishing to stay after a night in your restaurant.||Room No 8: |Clean, but felt grimy due to carpet covered in stains.|Mirror in bathroom would not light up. (Assuming it has that feature, which we are certain it should have).|No sockets with charger connections, we regularly stay in Bristol at Thornbury Castle and even their rooms have cable points, not having them is not acceptable.|Television too small for the room, too far away from the bed, we didn’t use it at all as we had forgotten our binoculars.|Wi-Fi would not connect to our iPad, did eventually to our phones.|The bed was horrific, it was hard and felt cheap/Dirty, so uncomfortable, we have never slept on such a poor mattress.; in fact, we hardly slept.|Pillows on bed, completely inadequate, very poor and overused.|Room is very Premier Inn; however, prices are dearer than them and the beds at Premier Inn are far more comfortable.|Admittedly we normally stay in 5-star hotels, frequently The Ritz in London, The Mandarin Oriental group etc. We did not expect the level of comfort and Service we are provided with at these hotels, however based on the service we do get from them at 5 stars, this hotel is no more than a 3 star possibly a 2, the difference is vast.|Not enough towels, one hand towel and one bath towel in the bathroom.|The next morning, we found another towel and 2 pillows stored in a cupboard, leave them out!! Why put them in a cupboard unless it is an attempt on the cleaner’s behalf of reducing laundry, because if they are not on the bed or in the bathroom they won’t get used.|No access to speak to anyone as regards issues with the room, why not provide a telephone number so we could have spoken to someone.||Breakfast: |Advising of our breakfast order by the evening is not acceptable really, considering the size of the restaurant, guests should be able to make their choices on the morning of their breakfast.|Cereals juice, tea and coffee, very minimal choice, also very cheeky expecting their customers to even make their own drinks, collecting juice and cereals is acceptable, however tea & coffee not being served at the table is a poor effort.|Waitress was lovely, very polite, and happy, far better than the reception/spa employees.|We waited for our breakfast for quite some time and considering us having to provide our order and time breakfast was required the night before, this was not acceptable.||Would we go back: not to stay but would consider a meal. This is therefore a waste of future business due to our connections with family and friends we would & could have been regular customers, therefore a missed opportunity.||I always leave feedback on Tripadvisor and have done this as I usually do. The White House should make more of their lovely restaurant and location, make their guests feel more special and that their stay is important, replace their mattress’s(assuming they are all that bad), leave details in the room for their guests on who to contact if there are any issues with the room. It didn’t feel like a hotel. We did not enjoy it; in fact, I considered driving back home to...

Well where do I start , we have friends that have a permanent touring caravan sited at Rhaullt county park . Which is an adults only site .||I must say it is very well maintained and manicured. .||On their recommendation we booked a Two bedroom lodge as we were attending an event in Conwy on the Saturday . The lodge was beautiful . Could not fault it . Perfect for our stay . As we thought!!!!!||Our lovely friends had prepared and cooked us a very nice BBQ at their van . ||So never used the lodge other than to sleep and shower early. Next morning being out at 7 am . ||Not returning till 5.30 that day and the England match being on . I offered to cook and did an indoor BBQ so we could watch the game . During half time I washed up all crockery etc some in dishwasher Grill pans/ trays by hand . Re foiling as I found it all . ||Our friends left at 10 pm that evening . The next morning we left at 9 am . Again leaving the lodge as clean as I found it . Handed in the key reporting a bulb put over the Kitchen sink and said to receptionist in the spa what a nice stay we had had . Would definitely be back . I, d also been recommending to other friends.& family . Sure to be returning our selves . ||However 3 days later I received a shocking email from the General Manager I. actually cant stress enough how upset I was to say the least. On receiving the email. Tarnishing the lovely weekend and The birthday lunch I d just had with a.very dear friend. Who was disgusted in the manner of the email . ||On receiving the email I rang and spoke to her. ||How she had the absolute cheek to accuse me of breaking and hiding or taking the Inner Glass Door on the cooker as they allow for breakages of cups plates etc That I was going to have to pay for this and she would be in touch with a price regarding the breakage. ||Apparently the House keeper had informed her after checking the Lodge after our departure . ||I said I absolutely knew nothing about the oven door . I mean what the hell !!!!!!!|| She was dismissive and said she d speak again with House Keeping . Basically disbelieving me . ||I was so upset I called back as my phone signal wasn’t great. ||I then spoke to the Restaurant manager and he said she told him on hand over about the email and how she should not of sent it or worded it how it was . ||I asked him to get her to call me next day! Obviously she could not be bothered, so I called her still very upset of being called a liar and A Thief . ||I wanted an apology and as she was checking with house keeping . I wanted answers. After speaking with her again very dismissive kinda said she was sorry. ||I asked what you intended to do about it in way of apology, not an offer of a coffee & cake . Nothing. ||Not a written apology. !!!! ||Our friends got involved as they felt annoyed to say the least . Due to them recommending the lodge and having their caravan on there . ||On them having a meeting a week later with the site / hotel team . They were told we were going to be offered a good will gesture. ||I have put off writing this review with a view to see their offering. Absolutely Nothing.. A spa 1/2day . A meal . Drink ! Even a discount on another stay . ||( Definitely would not now)||||As clearly the Management have. absolutely no interest in customer service as The firth wheel them selves contacted me asking me to forward the email as they were going to deal with it .|||| I cannot believe since I have found out apparently the said Lodge Never actually had an inner oven door . It apparently still on back order .!!!!!! I mean how embarrassing that the so called house keeper who supposedly checks after every guest. No staff know their own accommodation. ||I have now informed all friends Family and clients of mine that I had recommended the lodge and site too. To stay way clear. ||||Well all as I can say is i shall not spend another £239 on their lodges again . Or consider visiting the Spa . ||They completely Ignored the situation and not even a Written apology. ||So be warned .!!!!!!!!!!!!||Clearly from our experience they are not interested in repeat business or reputation. ||||They just want...
