Yr Owain Glyndŵr — Restaurant in Wales

After coming many times we’ve left very disappointed today. We live at the top of the island 40 minutes away and travelled here after booking in advance.

We arrived, went up to order at the bar to be told “oh we only have a little bit of Beef and Gammon left , we have the child’s menu however”. Surely before they confirm they can accommodate us , they should confirm they have enough to actually serve us?

When I rang to book they were made aware that it was for Sunday Dinner.

Unsatisfied that even though we pre booked, they could not accommodate us? I wonder if the other two tables , that were booked for a lot later are going to be disappointed?!

Don’t waste your time booking, or even travelling to come here as you will leave feeling disappointed and slightly offended that they offered to serve a child’s menu to fully...

Today 5 of us went for Sunday lunch. Luckily we had pre booked as it was busy. Lovely friendly welcome on arrival as we came in from the cold wind into a nice cosy entrance and then the nice welcome bar. We ordered our drinks and then found our reserved table. Our efficient and friendly bar staff came and took our orders, some beef, Turkey or pork, with all the trimmings. Quick efficient service and our main orders arrived piping hot with side dishes of vegetables and cauliflower cheese. One of the best Sunday lunches on Anglesey. There is also a lovely dessert menu, if you can manage it, available too. Such a lovely, cosy bar/restaurant with friendly and efficient staff with 5 star customers service.

Upon our 10 day stay at Llanddona, Anglesey, we visited The Owain Glyndwr on several occasions (approximately five but we lost count!). On every occasion we were given tremendous service and food that is undoubtedly cooked fresh to order, at reasonable prices. I have to commend the honesty of the staff; on one occasion a family member left their hand bag on the premises, and upon ringing them the owners were able to tell us that they had it, in safe, reliable hands. We collected it the same day, all contents in tact. Extremely friendly, happy and trustworthy owners that offer great food on your stay! Definitely worth a visit. Nice local ales...
