FURTHER TOO ME DOING THIS REVIEW I BEEN IN CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY AND THE AREA MANAGER ANDREW BEEN REALLY GREAT AND CUSTOMER REALTION TEAM BEEN OK TOO. FEEL ITS HAVING A BALANCE ON WRITTING COREECTLY REVIEW SHOULDNT ALWAY BE BAD. I AM GREATFULL FOR ANDREW AREA MANAGER AND SORTTING OUT THIS PROBLEMS TOO.

please find attached my email of complaints for tonight event and food in question.

We went out for meal for 5 Tonight has a family prior to today I went into the pub in question on 13th 02 2024 too book for today in question for 5 of us for 6 pm table 8. Up on arriving tonight we came too find out they not given us the correct table in question of which I took diss like tonight, never the less i was not going to let this spoil the night in question. when we sat down we decided what we going to order and I then went up too bar to placed the order for first we ordered the following items 3 garlic breads and cheese 3 cheese fires 2 mixed grill one chicken burger 2 steaks also.

we also made extra question first of all 1 steak too be well done 1 mixed grill too be well-done

The totally bill amount was £110.41 excluding drinks

When the starts came out they was ok no issues at all really.

But when the food came out this were problems was and i am sorry not paying £110.41 for this when going out for family meal too.

1, missed both gammons of the mixed grill them saying kitchen forget too put them on 1,a both meals was warm not hot of which found really poor

2, the well done steak was not cooked well-done and also not hot too

we offered too warm it up in Microwave of which we declined we not paying for food too be warmed up like this shocking

3, mine mixed grill chip not cooked correctly

4, both of meals including chicken burger and other mixed grill chip's not cooked correctly .

5, all over the meals not hot just warm

up raising this with the pub they only refunded one meal and i am requesting this too further be looked into.

please kindly note this not normally what we get from this pub or pub meals shocking.

FURTHERMORE TOO ADD WHEN YOU SPENDING £110.41 YOU ASPECT IT TOO BE CORRECRTLY I AM SORRY BUT ON TONIGHT ITS WAS NOT WORTH THIS...

I’ve been here several times and it’s usually a good meal out but have just been and considering it wasn’t what I would deem as very busy and we only ordered 2 dishes and drinks it took a while for the food to come out, not long enough to make a complaint about however, what arrived was over cooked like it had been sat under the hot plate for a while, I’m not saying it should be like Michelin star or anything but the cheese burger loaded fries came out with the cheese sauce beginning to congeal and burger bits dry and crusty, I ordered a medium rare steak which in the past has come out super but this time, it was overcooked and looked like it had a knife cut mark in it which I didn’t notice straight away but thought it was a bit odd. Not all of the meal was bad though, I’m fussy with the fat on my steak but this was cooked lovely and the overall flavour was great so couldn’t understand why the rest of it was overdone other than being sat for too long, the garlic and mushroom sauce was done well and really complimented the meal. The noise from the kitchen was rather distracting too with loud music every time the doors opened and chefs singing at the top of their lungs, I’m glad they enjoy their job but please not at the expense of my meal, plus no one came to check if we were enjoying our meal, I wasn’t willing to send it back as it was getting on for 9pm and didn’t want my mum to be out too late nor did I want the chefs finishing any later than they needed to as I can empathise with them and their long shifts. Hopefully next time I’m there (which will be very soon) things will be a bit better, I appreciate the restaurant industry can be busy and can vary from pub to pub and in all honesty this is my first proper review I’ve left and hope it is taken...

We did NOT enjoy our experience at the Rugby Tavern this Sunday afternoon. I appreciate they do food but for a reasonably sized pub they could easily set aside a comfortable area to relax with a drink only rather than sit at a table laden with menus, cutlery, sauces etc. Which leads me to my next negative point. The seating is basically hard kitchen chairs, very uncomfortable. The bar service was appalling. Slow & unprofessional. My husband bad to ask twice for ice for my drink & by the time the barmaid had gone away & returned with it it was almost melted .... why not have ice where you serve the drinks ! The food is bog standard, low grade pub food which is bought in. I did notice one good point - well, person to be fair- a guy serving food was very conscientious about asking customers If they were happy with their meal ( a couple were clearly not & he replaced their order ) & spend time cleaning tables & restocking sauces etc. Aside from that I but cannot recommend the Rugby Tavern...
