Kings Head — Restaurant in Wealden

I was staying at the seemingly expensive East Sussex National along the road. Myself and wife decided to book for a Sunday lunch: we both had the roast lamb which came with all the trimmings. It was excellent! Dessert was by way of sticky toffee pudding and salted caramel & honeycomb ice-cream - which was equally as lovely.

When you come in it seems to have a real country/village pub atmosphere and the bar staff were amazingly friendly and attentive.

Lovely village pub. We (two adults and three children) booked easily by phone and went for a Sunday roast. We were immediately welcomed warmly and the staff at the table and at the bar were kind and caring. We were even given two tables to sit more comfortably. Called in to ask to use phone to book a taxi (my mobile battery was dying and the snow had caused a change in my plans) and ended up with a lift to Waldron. Thanks so much for your kindness Emma (sorry if I have mis-remembered your name) and apologies that the mobile phone signal in the area let us down and my friends turned up after all too late to collect me while you were driving me...
