The Attimore Hall — Restaurant in Welwyn Hatfield

We all went as a group from work about 15/20 of us and were served starters and mains together as the manager new we were on lunch, food was lovely and the manager HIMSELF was very efficient and friendly.

Myself and 2 collages returned a week later and the difference was shocking we asked for both the starters and mains together. we were told there would be a 30 minute delay which we said was ok, we waited 45 minutes for the starter on its own (no main)and when we asked how long the main would be as we had to get back to work. We were told by the manager(a different one to the previous week- a small dark haired female) who was totally unprofessional as she rolled her eyes refused to hear us out and instead roared that we weren't in McDonald's and if we wanted fast food to head there. We then asked for a refund of the main and were refused. Bear in mind during all this time the place was practically empty and the chef was out chatting to the bar staff. The manager continued to flaunt about the place muttering under her breath. I don't no how she manages people when she can manager her own tongue. We had to walk out without any main dish or refund and return to work.

I usually never leave a review but this was actually horrible and It really bothered us the way we were shouted at so...

Pretty much tucked away off the road it could easily be missed. We went here for my birthday. Caught a few dodgy looks from a couple regulars, I imagine it was seeing unfamiliar faces. We booked for 13 people so ended up with a whole room. Some of my party was late but once they arrived the staff informed the kitchen. Food took about an hour but as it was a lot it was understandable.

Food was and hot as was the plates, a fact I found out after being handed a hot piece of ceramic.

I opted for the maple bacon burger. The bacon tasted like normal bacon and the burger tasted like it was of the frozen variety. Others went for the turkey roast and were disappointed by it.

The halluomi fries had a delicious coating and the nachos although looking like poppadoms were surprisingly tasty.

Dessert was sticky toffee pudding and custard which wasn't too bad, the custard did taste a little like water though.

The staff were friendly and attentive. Toilets were clean. No aircon where we was and it got very hot.
