Arthur's of Aughton — Restaurant in West Lancashire

Eaten here before and really enjoyed it. This visit was very disappointing. The food items we wanted to order were "out of stock". This apparently was because the menu was in the process of being changed. Alternative food ordered was nice however it took an hour to reach us and came out in dribs and drabs. We eventually found out that there was only 1 chef working which meant that our party, 6 of us, were all getting our meals at different times. The gentleman who was serving us couldn't have been more apologetic so the fiasco wasn't his fault. The daughter dropped me off with her two dogs to mind while she had to do girly stuff !! Some 3 hours later, I got picked up

In them 3 hours staff were excellent with keeping me hydrated!! But more importantly, the dogs were treated with a bowl of cold water

First time in establishment, very friendly attentive staff , i will definitely go again without the two pooches
