Visited this restaurant within the last week and I’m still thinking about it — it was that good!

There’s such a great variety on the menu, so there’s definitely something for everyone. When a place is fully booked and buzzing on a Wednesday night, you just know you’re in for something special — and this place did not disappoint at all.

To start, I had the duck and garlic bread, which was cooked perfectly and full of flavour. For my main, I went with the lamb shank — it just fell off the bone and melted in the mouth, genuinely one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Finished it all off with a chocolate brownie for dessert, which was rich, gooey, and absolutely delicious.

Service was top notch too — 10/10. All the staff were so lovely, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. They really added to the whole experience.

There were only a couple of tiny negatives, and they really didn’t spoil the evening. Our table was quite close to where the staff clean or put away the cutlery, so there was a fair bit of clattering and noise at times — but honestly, it’s just something to keep in mind if you like a quieter spot. Also, the car park is a good size but there aren’t any marked bays, so some people park however they like and end up taking up two spaces — not the restaurant’s fault but worth knowing if you’re driving.

But honestly, these were very minor things in what was otherwise an amazing night. The food alone is worth coming back for — I’d happily give it an 11/10 if I could. And little touches like getting extra Biscoff biscuits with my coffee at the end just made it feel that bit more special.

It’s my birthday, I’ll book the wrong restaurant if I want tošŸ™ˆ. It is a birthday tradition that every year, I have Italian cuisine (my favourite) and this year I was on the hunt to find a new local favourite. I admit it, I had no idea there were more than one restaurant’s that share the same name, in the same(ish) place. Despite turning up with no booking, as soon as staff realised the mix up they found us a table and made us feel so welcome.. the exemplary customer service continued throughout the whole evening and I was made to feel so special in my birthday! The food matched the service, all courses were beautiful - especially the goats cheese and pistachio bruschettašŸ˜. What drew me to the menu was the wide selection of pizza and pasta, alongside variety of alternative main dishes which can be rare in an establishment like this! I was impressed to see a set menu available all week, at such a good price point with a large selection included. Overall, I’m so glad I experienced this restaurant for my birthday and I’ll definitely be back! ā­ļø

Went to our favourite Italian on Sunday,after being locked in for a year. Food has always been excellent. Unfortunately this time it was well below they're standards. Had calamari and garlic bread to start. Calamari was not nice. Batter wasn't crispy, the calamari was very bland and some pieces still very hard. My wife had some pennes ( sorry but remember what the dish was called). The onions were almost raw,like when you see in a salad, but in all fairness she liked it. My carbora, traditional ( as you get a choice now) , has been always been the best around the Southport area, except this time. I think it might needed to cook for a couple of minutes more,as on the bottom of the plate there was still runny egg and a bit of oil. We tried a Rioja this time. Not the same year as it was stated in the menu,but still nice. Staff was very nice,but I would prefer a little more attention to detail.Not trying to be pickie,but at least to serve the wine without spilling everywhere and then just place the bottle over the spilling to cover it. Also a lady on the next table dropped her knife, the member of staff saw it,but for no reason did nothing about it. I'm not saying all this to complain, but because this is still such a great place and I wouldn't like to see it loose it's magic. Hope I didn't...
