Lilly's Tea Room Ltd — Restaurant in West Lindsey

When I booked for my wife's birthday told they would dress the table.Nothing.Table set for 5 people although only for us 2.Ordered food.No choice of teas given although on leaving saw all the speciality teas by the door.Food came.Looked lovely.5 minutes later we were asked "are you waiting for something ".?I replied yes the tea!!!Food was very good but when I asked for a top up of tea it was so weak it looked like water!When I asked if we could have a couple of extra teabags fetched another pot with 5 teabags in.Not necessary.Heard others at another table asking for hot water as theirs was like builders tea and undrinkable!!!My wife paused from eating to have a drink and a young male waiter asked if he should clear away if we'd finished???We still had a platter of mini puds in front of us to eat!!!More attention to detail is needed in my opinion.At least 4 different people served at our table and it seemed to me this only added to the confusion.Lovely food especially the sandwiches but awful service.Would not return.Very disappointed as told by a friend it wasn't as good as it used to be but wanted to judge for myself.Should...

Popped in for a late lunch . My Mum went for the mushroom quiche I had the bacon chicken cheese toastie Both came with salad ,coleslaw My Mums quiche very bland with no mushroom taste even though mushrooms in it🤪 My toastie had the horrible processed chicken and bacon cubes , that I havnt seen for years !, was hoping for a fresh piece of grilled chicken and bacon - very cheap quality. Used lillys quite a few times now for birthday celebrations, having their takeout afternoon teas. Everything about the food is just delicious, the sandwiches are on various types of bread, the fillings are spilling out of the sides, they are so full!! Coleslaw is so creamy& tasty The quiches & sausage rolls are beautifully baked& packed full inside! There's such a wide selection of cakes too, I especially love lillys scones, so moist & supplied with jam& cream too! Excellent value for money& so easy to order with becky.
