I wish I read the other negative reviews about VERY SLOW service. We turned up at 1230 and joined the queue straight away. Waited in the fairly long queue for 20/25 minutes to eventually order the food.

I then waited just over an hour for the food to arrive after asking multiple times what on earth was taking so long. Each time we were told we were next, when clearly no one seemed to know what was going on.

We ordered 4 kids fish fingers and chips and a fish finger sandwich. Even if the kitchen is at capacity how can it possibly take this long to put this basic order together.

Drove 30mins out of our way to eat and do the trail, but sadly we left very disappointed.

It's not that hard to just stop taking orders or at least attempt to try and manage expectations at the till.

Just say it will take over an hour for food and we'd have gone somewhere else. We had 4 children under 10 all hungry and playing up. Just get the...

The Old Shed is within a lovely country setting and offers great seating outside and inside. It is very well presented with a rustic feel to it. Overall, the place was well-kept and clean, including the bathrooms. If you have children, there is loads to do around The Old Shed, like taking a walk in the forest or visiting the park. With regards to children's activities within The Old Shed, there wasn't much. The 'kids corner' was squeezed into a corner between a doorway and comfortable seating, so it makes it a bit uncomfortable for the little ones to sit down and play. I found the food to look delicious, however, all of the meals we had at our table lacked flavour (burger & chips, aubergine bake, lasagna) Nonetheless, their cakes and desserts were fantastic and the staff were polite.

I would happily visit The Old Shed again, but perhaps only for a cuppa & a...

This used to be our favourite place to eat, sadly it’s really gone downhill. The child’s portions are now tiny (one small sausage with chips, where there used to be two, but still the same price) both my children were still hungry after their meal. My last two meals have been inedible (undercooked pastry case on quiche with old, slimy salad and then halloumi fries that tasted so “off” I had to send it back). There is one member of staff who consistently makes you feel like such an inconvenience. Such a shame that what was once a joyful, family experience is now very half hearted and underwhelming. I would have given one star if it hadn’t been for the younger members of staff who were really lovely and helpful and are obviously trying their best. I’m hopeful it will return to it’s former...

Great spot, family friendly, lovely crowd of all kinds of people: kids, couples, grandparents, cyclists, friends. We sat in the "main" bit, was very busy on a Sat at 2pm. There are outside tables, another marquee-type area, nice toilets, activities for kids, great service. The cake selection was impressive. I had chips, egg and ham and was deliciously fresh. Free parking outside. Although there is gravel outside, saw someone managing well with a pushchair, as well as a few pushchairs. Will definitely recommend and I will visit again ;)

Excellent cafe on a campsite open to those staying and visiting. Just outside Charlbury you can walk into the village on footpaths to shops and pubs and bus and railway connections. Cafe has indoor and outdoor seating with a varied menu including gluten free options. There's a nice walk in the woods with a Frisbee Golf course. Campsite looked good too with grass and hardstanding pitches and wooden pods. Also seemed to be a welcome stop off for cyclists in this hilly part of Oxfordshire.
