Group of 6 for Ruby wedding anniversary celebration. We took my mum and dad here for anniversary treat. First time of visiting and after telling everyone where I had booked and hearing the positive responses from everyone whether it be from themselves or people they know had dined here the expectations where high and I can safely say dish didn't disappoint every starter and main course ordered was amazing. Our first meal here was worth the wait! We are not far from here and have passed it several times and each time said oh we need to try it there one time and we are so glad we did. We decided to try out some little and small plates so we could try different dishes and we were not disappointed at all! The fillet steak skewers are melt in your mouth as are the cod croquettes and the dressing they were sat on were fantastic! The calamari and prawns were amazing and the pork and black pudding hash brown was delicious! You can't fault anything here, the atmosphere and the service was fantastic, it's a lovely place and we will absolutely be back...

The skewers were very good and popular. The black pudding and pork hash brown with a poached egg and grain mustard sauce was excellent. The lamb navarin was one of the best lamb dishes I have had. Another visit and the restaurant was very busy. Had to wait 30 minutes for a table. It was another hour before the mains arrived. Ordered a valpolicella ripasso but the bottle brought was not a ripasso. The bottle was discounted but still a disappointment.
