Along with other people, I had a terrible experience with Sniffalot Treats. I ordered a custom cake, and what arrived was completely wrong - from the colours to the decorations, even down to the delivery date, which was nearly a week earlier than I requested. The seller admitted she sent it early because she was going away, but never informed me of this change. When I raised these issues, the response was not only dismissive but downright rude. I was told, ā€œSometimes the cakes can deepen/lighten in colour as natural colouring is used,ā€ as if that excused sending a completely incorrect product. What’s worse, when I pointed out how wrong the cake was, their reply was, ā€œThe whole cake wasn’t wrong, the red has just deepened,ā€ completely ignoring my other concerns about the incorrect design and early delivery. The cake looked nothing like what I ordered, yet they acted as if I was being unreasonable. Every response they had was ā€œI am sorry you did not like the colour of the cakeā€. Completely not getting what I was saying. I didn’t even feel comfortable giving the cake to my dog for his birthday - it looked dodgy and gone off. Considering how many things were wrong with it, I couldn’t trust what had gone into it and decided not to give it to him at all. The dismissive tone, unprofessional behaviour, and lack of accountability in their customer service are shocking. To top it off, after our conversation, the seller then put up an indirect post on social media saying, ā€œDon’t you just love lovely people? There’s some miserable so and sos out in the world (mainly on Insta) so it’s lovely to come across such a cheery person.ā€ This was a clear reference to me and was incredibly unprofessional and rude. Additionally, they completely ignored me 9 times in total when I asked them how to write a review. If you care about receiving what you actually ordered, avoid Sniffalot Treats. Their attitude towards their customers is as disappointing as their product. Attached you will see what I asked for and what I received, along with more screenshots to support my review.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I ordered a birthday package for my pups birthday. The order was not well packed and the biscuits were broken. I contacted the owner and she just blamed Royal Mail but the order was not packaged well to avoid this as it was all just chucked in a box in greeceproof paper. I also was not sent the correct items as part of the birthday package which when I have tried to complain I have been ignored and then I have complained again via email and her customer service is terrible. She has now added a line on her website saying it’s not included since I complained but when I ordered it was included. She has no interest in rectifying this and refuses to give a refund for the parts of my order which were wrong plus my order was nearly Ā£40! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE YOU WILL JUST BE DISAPPOINTED.

Ordered a birthday cake for my dogs 1st birthday ,didn’t arrive on time ,was the next day ,but he already missed his party at daycare as I waiting for it the Friday. It arrives and looks awful, all this black tissue on ,to be told it’s human safe and to wipe it off , the owner responded to my email to say she would refund me Ā£8 ,that shouldn’t be the case to just wipe it off. That is nothing when I’ve paid Ā£45 ,one it’s late and she says Royal Mail and then for it to look like this , I wouldn’t feed it my dog so never mind taking it into daycare. And I know that I had to pop the decorations on my self as we spoke about that ,but doesn’t look like it should.

Ordered 3 Christmas treat advent boxes at £20.00 each. Having being messed about several times regarding delivery/collection (originally I was collecting 27th November, then it was put back until 1st December) I finally had all 3 boxes. 25 treats in each box and not one was decorated as advertised on FB, Instagram or website. When I questioned this I was told that "The icing doesn't affect the flavour of them as it's bland"! Not a mention that you hadn't supplied what was advertised, I didn't expect every treat to be iced, just 4 (as the ones on your posts) in each box.

Bearing in mind I'd already been messed about so much and not one apology I'd had enough at this point. Requested a refund as not as advertised and offered to send back. Owner was obviously not happy with this.

Agreed she would refund me less the cost of personalised, small cardboard box. Refund came through today at £13.00 (only for one treat box not all 3!). I find it hard to believe a cardboard box cost £7.00 when she's selling personalised plastic cauldrons on her website for £4.99 but hey ho. Will try and add photos of what was received as opposed to what was advertised.

Not sure how to reply to the owners comment so will add to my review:

My sister-in-law was NOT contacted to say you were in hospital, when I asked about the delay you told me you had put it on your socials...you hadn't. You added a status to FB later that night.

I find it VERY hard to believe not one person complained about the boxes not been as advertised. You say the treats were bespoke to my order, how does that work if all boxes ordered were the same? The treats were all individually placed in plastic baggies yes, however, a basic white box with my dogs name stamped on and tied with a ribbon does not £7.00 make.

Both my sister in law and I have all your messages, I suggest you have a read back. Whats annoying also, is the fact people who have Instagram followings, had their boxes over 2 weeks ago.

I would have thought it would have been obvious all 3 boxes were to be refunded, you did actually state 'boxes' in one of your messages.

I did say several times, had you messaged/put a status out to say boxes may not be ready on time and the biscuits wouldn't be as advertised people would have understood

To add on to your further comments, I left a 1 star review to reflect your stinking attitude towrds your customers along with the items NOT been as pictured, as...

Avoid avoid avoid!

Update: it has now been over a month. I still haven’t had the refund and seller is not responding! Not only I didn’t receive the cake but I can’t even get a refund. Appalling customer service!

I bought a birthday cake for my dog’s 1st birthday and requested it to be delivered on the 14th of February as we planned a party on Saturday the 15th. The cake didn’t arrive at all. I paid for tracked delivery 24h as that was recommended for cakes at checkout. I asked the owner for a refund but she said she has to wait 10days to dispute with Royal Mail. It’s been over 10 days and she hasn’t issued a refund nor has she replied to my emails. If you read the terms and conditions it states Special Delivery is the only guaranteed option you will receive your order, however I didn’t see this option when I was completing my order.

The seller offers birthday cakes yet she doesn’t take responsibility for the cake being delivered on time (or at all in my case). Under the consumers act 2015 a birthday cake is a special item and has to be delivered at the requested date and the responsibility of the cake being delivered on time falls down to the seller.

It seems like a pattern orders not being delivered on time but I didn’t read the google reviews until my order didn’t arrive at the requested time. If you want a dog birthday cake delivered on time for your event...
