Feli's Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Wychavon

We have eaten here several times over the years; always superb and never a disappointment - high quality, fresh food, local produce, warm hosting - everything you could possibly want from a restaurant.

Decided to write a review as recently we attended one of Feli's 1 day cookery classes (themed around 'A table in Tuscany') - this was outstanding. Feli has a great setup at the restaurant, and is a natural teacher - the class was rich with practical hints and tips alongside Italian anecdotes and traditions. No questions were too big or small, and both my wife and I learned a huge amount - Feli's knowledge is clearly deep and based on a lifetime of experience at the highest level. We were learning not just the 'what/how' but also the 'why', even including several practical ways to make meals healthier without sacrificing any flavor (which he also demonstrated directly!)

My wife is Italian. Sometimes going to an Italian restaurant is like paying for someone to wipe their feet on the culture my wife cherishes more than anything, now that she is part if the latin diaspora. This restaurant is not one of those experiences. The food isn't traditional Italian fare. But it is made to order, beautifully cooked using local ingredients. And delicious. Everyone is exceptionally friendly. While Feli works his magic in the kitchen, his wife comes to chat to everyone. Always nice that every time we've eaten here, half the conversation at our table is conducted in Italian. The other half is in English because, well, not knowing her mother tongue is just one of the many ways I let down the woman I love. Not exactly an Italian restaurant but itnhas that family feel younget in restaurants in Italia, the food comes from a place of love, coffee is latin strength and they serve Montenegro liqueur - a surer sign of authenticity than anything else I can think...

As someone in my fifties I have given this some thought, and I have just eaten what is without doubt, the best meal I have ever had!

The food is locally sourced, fresh and tastes divine. From the moment we entered the restaurant which appeared to be very clean and cosy. The staff was welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. All the staff were filled with the same desire to make the whole experience unforgettable, with attention to detail. The food was cooked at a level I have never experienced before, you could taste the passion of the chef in what he produced.
