We went out for a meal for our valentine meal. And our original place we was going to was closed on Mondays. So we decided to come to the Nevill Arms as we usually come here with the rest of the family. So we arrive and sat down. Was quiet But it was kind of expected on a Monday around 7.30pm. so we ordered. I had the cheese burger and my partner had the gammon. His was fine and Mine was good. Except I had bacon in my burger. Which I hate. So I went to the bar to complain and the waitress was apologetic. And a new burger was ordered. After a couple of minutes. I'm guessing the manager come over and apologised again and asked if we wanted free drinks. Which we did (pints of pepsi) then my food arrived complete with chips and onion rings. Which I couldn't eat again. But it was nice surpise to see the full meal again and not just the burger. Even tho I would of been happy with that. As I was eating, another manager came over and asked if everything was ok with my meal. Which I confimed it was. Even tho they messed up my food order. They apologised and got it sorted and offer a free drink for the convenience. There service was amazing. They made sure I was going to leave in a good way. Great service. I would recommend this place. Great food for a great price.

A spur of the moment visit to the Neville arms turned into an excellent choice and I can highly recommend it to anyone on the hunt for somewhere different to eat.. food is piping hot, of generous portions with waiting time around 15-20 minutes.. it's well managed with courteous staff and The Neville Arms clearly have the customer at the centre of their business. There are excellent dining areas to suit all ages and menus offering a good selection of food and puddings to die for.. for the sweet tooths among us there is not your usual measly 4 or 5 puddings, but no less than 21 to choose from! .Now that us what I call a dessert menu. Not only is the food delicious compliments to the chef.. but it's ambience is particularly impressive... There are wicker baskets dotted about filled with a variety of cushions for delicate derriers or for children to use who find themselves a bit small to sit at the table ... top marks to the management for going the extra mile with this little idea and a nice added touch ..very considerate, child friendly and impressive

2 of us had lunch here. Didn't book but managed to find a table despite 80%of tables reserved. Nice decor & plenty of different areas. We both had set menu 3 courses £12.95. Amazing value & gorgeous food with ample portions. Huge choice too including separate veggie menu. The only reason it lost a star was the waitress service needs to improve. We were left with dirty plates after each course & had to move these to nearby table as waitress slow at collecting. We'd paid for 3 courses & when she eventually collected main plates she asked if we were having dessert & I said yes plse 2 sundaes. She said you need to order them at bar...can't you order them plse as we have already paid for them & she almost tutted & actually rolled her eyes in annoyance that we'd actually asked a waitress to do her job!! If you're the manager & want to know who your "friendly" waitress was, we were at table 2 from 1.00-2.30....

I booked a table at this restaurant nice and early at 1pm (2nd June)for me and my wife and was looking forward to a enjoyable meal which we had done before last September and really enjoyed it, even though it was thirteen miles away. When we arrived ,we was left waiting for for a good five mins before being taken to our table, ok not a problem as they were quite busy, even though it was a Wednesday evening, we were then shown to our table, I say table, it's as if we were a inconvenience and given the smallest table in the place, barely enough room for two plates, I thought at the time what was the point in booking early. Anyway we sat down ordered our drinks, which was promptly brought to us, a few minutes later the waitress took our order, she never wrote anything down which I thought was a bit odd, as we ordered starters I thought it wouldn't take that long, how wrong was I, we waited and waited and waited, I observed people arriving a good 15 minutes behind us, it was now getting on for 40 mins and I noticed the couple who arrived after us were then given there MAIN meals. We both had enough by now, our drinks were empty and it was time to go, so asked for our bill and said I'm not waiting any longer and left. What was supposed to be a enjoyable night out for us both turned out to be a complete and utter...
