Three of us had lunch here yesterday at about 1.30pm. The service was immediate and we were given the opportunity to eat either outside, in the bar area or the restaurant. We chose the restaurant. The exterior and interior looked very smart and fresh and probably refurbished very recently. The menu was extensive and there were 4 specials with salmon, beef, chicken and cod as their main ingredients. Table service was quick and friendly. We all had a different special. The portions were extremely generous and we all enjoyed our meals very much. The total bill for 3 mains, 2 desserts and three drinks was £40. This represented excellent value. The bar had a very wide choice of beers and ciders and there was a free drink with every main course! We had a very pleasant experience with no negative issues. The car park seemed more than adequate although the place was very quiet, probably because Tuesday lunch time is not the most popular time to eat out. We recommend The Tap House, which is described as a small family business, very highly. We...
Read moreWhat a great brewery tap, formed out of the old Hartlebury Station, this is all you need from a good local pub. Lovely locals, friendly & helpful staff, great food & good beers. We called in whilst staying at the nearby Travelodge & im glad we did. Whilst it was very busy at the time (Sun Afternoon) we managed to find refuge in the pubs large overspill marquee. Don't be put off, this was heated & comfortable. Unfortunately the restuarant was full at the time (so was the pub itself) so i can only make a judgement on our snacks, but I orderd the cheese boats & spicy cheesy chips, both were excellent & served in a timely fashion. As for the beers, I tried all of those on tap. Now beer is subjective & we're all different, but suffice to say whilst all were good, for me none were outstanding. They were however in great condition. Overall this was a great find & a pleasent way to spend an hour if you're...
Read moreThe restaurant was very quiet when we arrived but soon started to get quite busy. the staff were finding it a wee bit of a struggle to cope with the restaurant and the bar food orders, but got there in the end. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and professional, the food was pretty decent, the Whitebait and the Fruit Crumble desert were the standouts for me. The Texan Pulled Pork Burger that I had for my main meal was good but the burger was a bit overwhelmed by the topping. The dishes were well presented with good portions of everything including well dressed side salad. The restaurant was comfortable with a sort of 1950's wood paneled vibe, with a good buzzy atmosphere with everybody enjoying themselves The beer was really very good and there was a good selection of low alcohol and alcohol free alternatives for the drivers. The toilets were clean and fresh and there was...
