Tapas again. (Wednesday the 10th July). Excellent again. A mystery selection of 6 tapas. All cooked to perfection and served hot. Accompanied by a bottle of Chilean Merlot, which was very nice indeed. The usual excellent service. Too much food for two of us so had a doggy bag again. All of this for £20. Unbeatable value. My wife and I had dinner here again last night (Saturday the 6th July). I had Loin of Pork followed by Lemon Meringue Roulade. My wife had Gressingham Duck and Peanut/Marshmallow Terrine. All of the dishes were simply superb and large portions. We shared a bottle of house red (“Dry River” Shiraz) which was extremely nice. The service was beyond reproach again, the evening was most enjoyable and the value for money here is unbelievable. I realised this time that there is no annoying background music either. It seems a great shame that the restaurant was less than half full! I hope that the people of Hartlebury and beyond will give this place their custom so that it can thrive. I have left reviews about this venue here before. See below. In those reviews I have been equivocal but tonight we have had the most excellent experience. We saw the A-board outside, advertising “Tapas and a bottle of wine for 2 people every Wednesday - £20.” It had to be worth a try - or - was it too good to be true? My wife and I gave it a try tonight and deeply regret that we haven’t tried it before now. The tapas were superb quality and served in great volume. (We had to ask for a doggy bag)! Not only this but the restaurant is lovely, the service was exceptional, the food was freshly-cooked and hot and the wine (a Chilean Merlot) was very acceptable. Massive congratulations to the chef/patron. Anyone who could but fails to take advantage of this offer is missing a trick! Nice place Some months ago, six of us had dinner and enjoyed ourselves very much. We were entertaining a family of four Americans and they were very happy with our choice of venue. The food and service were excellent and the serving staff were particularly friendly and helpful. We thought that our overall experience was very good and well-priced. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. I drive past frequently and I am always very disappointed that the exterior looks so uncared for. With a little bit of effort the car park could be cleared and the beer garden could be made to look welcoming. This is a very good location and surely more customers would be tempted in if the place looked tidier!

I have never wrote a food review before. This picture shows the special Herefordshire beef patty of my wife's not so beef burger, The staff ("I'll add rudely") say that's our Herefordshire beef patty's. (they did offer another one but told my wife it will b exactly the same as this one) safe to say she didn't fancy another one. I'm no food expert but there were no beef in between the buns of this burger ,,,no taste /texture or smell of beef. Seemed like breadcrumbs and maybe sweede (looked and tasted like baby food). Ate here many times (day and evening menu) over the years and its always been just OK. This time however was awful. This review page won't let me reply to the reply so I'll just pop it here in an edit of my original review. Thank u for the reply and kind gesture of offering a revisit and free meal i most definitely didn't do a review to get a free meal or money back, I also understand u wasn't there when the issue happened. Thank u for ur time and replying to me.

After trying to see a lunch time menu I was sent the Summer sizzler menu and very good it looked too. However this menu isn't available on a Friday so today being Friday I was disappointed to find it was not available. It does state not available on a Friday but one would hope that I would of been told this on the phone. This lovely old Inn rich in history with links to RAF Hartlebury has been totally stripped of its history . Only to become some sort of bistro so out of place in the rural Worcestershire countryside. I left and found The Tap it was so busy I had to use the overflow car park. Full of locals and visitors alike . Strange The Hart only had one family in and two in the bar . Well I guess people vote with their feet . 1 star is all the Hart will...
