My husband and I went there last Saturday and we were overwhelmed with all the good baked goods and canned jams jellies and preserved foods. Everything looked and smelled real good. We got shoo-fly pie ,sticky buns, and a turtle cheese cake and i sampled a 3 flavored pound cake and it was so moist and delicious, everything was amazing. I'm from Pennsylvania Dutch country and my grandparents were Mennonite and we were raised on all this good food. The ladies there were very sweet and accommodating I called ahead to make sure they had shoofly pie and she said they didn't have any but she would bake some for me. The cakes and pies and other goodies look fabulous! ...and the prices are unbelievable!!

Read moreWorth the (out of the way) drive to this charming little one-room bakery. We've just found this little hidden gem in Abbeville, SC. Our first purchase was the caramel apple monkey bread (I think), it was just suberb. We bought 2 cherry phyllo turnovers that literally are the best that we've ever had. On our second and latest trip, we bought the cherry phyllo turnovers AGAIN and also tried blackbery. Lastly, we bought the coconut cake which was JUST "so-so". although nice and tender, there was very little flavor (it didn't tase cononut-y at all!). We don't recommend that selection.
