Def a weird experience. I moved here from Texas, looking at the decor and menu online gives an impression that it's kind of a Mexican restaurant with many other American choices. Great we have 3 kids no body agrees on anything. Well when the waiter put rolls and butter down instead of chips and salsa I looked over and said should we just pay for our drinks and leave lol. We order fajitas and chimichangas. The chimichangas were pretty good. The fajitas were seasoned ok veggies a little crisp but don't cross my eyes none. However, the tortillas were store bought and very clearly not fresh. They had hard parts on the outer rims. That happens when exposed to air too long or old or both lol. Tips to make this place better. 1. Chips and salsa 2. Fresh or better yet homemade tortillas. I can make them they aren't hard. 3. Mexican rice what is this white rice they serve no flavor and no salsa to make it better get out of here. This ain't China wok man! White rice has no place on Mexican dishes period. Idc if you serving fajitas at Applebee's if it's a Mexican dish either give me some refried beans or Mexican rice or both lol. You guys are crazy. I bet the steaks and burgers are really good though. Won't say I won't be back just won't...
Read moreLet's cut to the chase. The tomahawk steak isn't worth the price. It seems they simply halved a tomahawk steak and charged $40 for it. My steak was incredibly thin, more like a pancake than a proper cut. My wife and her friend ordered the supposed '8oz' steak with scallops, but those steaks were nowhere near 8 ounces; maybe 4 at best. The scallops looked old and had a strange smell. We ordered broccoli and received just three small pieces. The rice and beans seemed old and lacked flavor.
We won't be returning. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and stylish, but the bathrooms were not very clean. Our waitress was polite, but her demeanor suggested she wasn't happy in her role. We even overheard two other waiters joking about walking out, though they might have been kidding. Regardless, after our experience, I can understand why.
I usually avoid leaving negative reviews, but seeing the quality of the steaks and the prices they charge, it feels like they're taking advantage of customers and hoping no one will notice.
If you decide to dine here and plan to order a steak, be sure to ask about the actual portion size beforehand. If the steak served doesn't match what was described, don't hesitate to...
Read moreWe had been eyeing this place for a while and decided to stop by and try it out, first i want to say the quesabirra tacos were AMAZING probably some of the closest I've had to the good stuff in Florida. Full of flavor, heavy on the portions, cheese was super melty and had that cheese pull everyone is after nowadays. Highly recommended those. Secondly the other dishes were decent but we all agreed that all the dishes except for the birra were very overcooked. Which i would rather them be overdone compared to underdone. Corn ribs were good but i wish there was more topping on them as some of the ones on the bottom were lacking the cotija cheese and cilantro. Fish tacos were not my favorite i probably should have read the item description better as I expected a grilled fish but it was breaded, even with the coleslaw and mango dressing i still felt they were very bland. Guac and queso were very flavorful though! Food came out in a timely manner and was hot, service was good, my friend mentioned the coconut margarita was delicious, only giving 3 stars on food because 3 out of 6 items were overcooked. We will be back but we will probably stick to the birra and...
