Isolas To Go — Restaurant in Addison Township

As the only functioning place in that dilapidated plaza, Isolas doesn't exactly catch the eye when you drive by. It's tucked back there though, and if you're lucky, the owner guy or one of the ladies will be working. They're all very nice and personable. A few of the younger kids they have working there are total duds. Most importantly, the food is meh. I mean, it's edible matter and all, but it could use a heck of a lot more seasonings. Many of their dishes have potential, but they need to be paired with some garlic, herbs, and a salt shaker. I'm being generous with three stars because I know they're trying, but a few culinary classes would do the cook some good. Also, you guys really need to try and be somewhat COVID compliant. Friendly on the phone when I placed my carry out order. Upon arrival my two pizzas were steaming hot and ready for me, perfect timing! (Aside from stating the obvious, providing exceptional food)...one thing that can set one establishment apart from another can sometimes be the simplest and smallest of things ... The gentlem that rang me out had noticed I was in construction attire and clearly on lunch break and must have had assumed that we didn't necessarily have the normal table setting/untisels as the typical carryout customer. He then asked how many people were going to be eating and then provided paper plates, plastic ware and napkins. Never once have I been offered paper plates or for a pizza place. My boyfriend and I get delivery from here several times a week. They are fast, friendly and I have only one time not loved my meal. It was still good just not my favorite. They pay attention to details, I am highly allergic to mushrooms and I love the chicken carbonara which they make sure to leave the mushrooms out of for me. They woman who takes the orders is the sweet lady ever, she now knows where we are off lake George and I feel like I’m talking to a friend when I call her. The delivery driver is fast and friendly. We have never waited longer than half an hour for our food and we are about 10 minutes from the restaurant. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for homemade food. Compliments to the chef! We have a hard time ordering from any where else due to the price, portions , and taste. Totally worth...
