I was recommended to try out Greek Street Food, and as a big fan of Greek cuisine, I was excited to hear there was finally a place like this in town. First impression of the restaurant was great — the place looks fancy, clean, and sleek inside.

Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the look. When I walked in, I wasn’t greeted by the cashier. It was my first time there, so I took a moment to look over the menu, and the guy taking my order (I believe his name was John) seemed rushed and impatient. I had trouble hearing him over the music and asked him to repeat himself, but he looked visibly frustrated. Not the kind of welcome you’d hope for as a first-time customer.

Now, onto the food — I’ll give credit where it’s due. The food itself was solid. Big portions, cooked well, and definitely flavorful. The only disappointment was the lemon egg soup. I was served what looked like a 24oz cup, but there were maybe 12 pieces of rice in the entire thing and absolutely nothing else. It felt more like flavored water than a proper soup.

Overall, the food has potential, but the customer service and attention to detail need serious work if they want people to keep...

Picture this,

You are from out of town. You're working in a warehouse doing some final touches on a conveyor and have been eating mediocre all week. Your coworker says "let's go get some Skewers".....

You never think it's going to change your life. You never think you are going to regret your life choices up until this point. Let me tell you, we regretted everyday that week we didn't go there before.

We got 1 Pork Skewer, 2 Chicken, 1 Steak, some Pita Bread with Hummus, and a side pf pork.

Let me tell you, by the time me and my coworker were done ordering, it had me questioning how hungry I actually was. Thoughts permeated my mind of "I ordered too much food" and "is this gonna be too much"

They brought the food out and, p.s., they package it to go! When we opened it up, when I tell you my soul has never rejoiced so much, I mean it! It was wonderful!

About the second bite is when we realized we weren't going to have any left overs.

This place had us questioning every other food choice we made the whole week and had us wishing we would've gone here the entire week!

Save yourself the trouble and just start with this Little...

Overall, the food is great, seasoned right, nicely cooked, larger than average portions. For a fast food joint, the food is on point! Pricing is average considering the quality and portions. Now, just hope and pray that they get your order right. I've ordered for pick up 3 times, all 3 times I had missing or incorrectly prepared meals (not adding what was requested or adding things not requested). All 3 times we called back to let them know of the issue. They have been super helpful in trying to resolve the issue by asking us to come back and they would make it right. But, when you have to go back to pick up an order or fries or sauces, or whatever was wrong, the rest of the meal is cold by then, not to mention the "back and forth". The food is great sken you done in, I just wish there was better quality control on...

Very weird, ordered there classic gyro and fries but didnt want a drink. I got a bowl of gyro meat and no pita, it was like they made a gyro in a bowl and excluded the pita. Not sure why anyone would order a gyro with no pita. Not sure what to to tell you, the concept of a bowl is pretty straight forward, it was essentially a aluminum to go container. The fact that your response is defensive/baffling makes your mistake even more frustrating. I ordered a #1 Chicago style gyro and got a "bowl" of meat with tomato and onion. I uploaded a photo of the "bowl" or whatever you want to call it it came in. Got it, I ordered a number 1 and got a Gyro Plate.... You should note that the Gyro Plate doesnt come with Pita so that people know. Also I didnt order a Gyro Plate, I ordered a #1 with no drink.

Probably closest to the pork gyros served in Greece out of all the ones I have tried in Chicago. The place was quite empty around 5:30 on a weekday but service was quick and food came out hot and fresh. The fries were excellent: well-seasoned, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The gyro was stuffed with delicious pork and more of that amazing fries sliced thinner. If I have to nit-pick one thing, I would say the pork should have been sliced thinner. It was too thick to strike the right balance between tenderness and crispiness for me.
