Beautiful place!!! Bad experience!! We ordered and received food very quickly; nice, no long wait. As we are eating they start coming to our table to ask to remove plates. I thought it was weird at first but then I thought maybe they want to keep tables clean for us. Then I realized every server was taking turns coming to our table to keep removing plates, I thought it was a joke. My son’s plates were removed just 5 minutes into our meal, then my plates were removed a few minutes later. My husband was the only one with a plate 25 min into our meal; he still was eating and drinking his glass of wine, when the odd rotation of waiters kept coming to the table to remove stuff, trying to take a plate with food that wasn’t touched yet and they also took the napkins!!!!! My husband had to say no not that and she laughed and acted like we’re going to eat that. She left it but took the napkins!!!! I had to stand up and go find her to ask her why she removed the napkins, at this point my stomach was in knots 🪢. Beautiful restaurant but with smiles they take the food right out your mouth. I wish I would have been able to eat my food in peace and enjoy the view. I did notice we were the only ones experiencing that treatment. We came in and sat around other families already there but were the first to leave from the other families that were sitting around us. Waitresses didn’t even want to offer us dessert or coffee; my husband had to ask but at that point I wanted to go. Bad feeling in the pit of my stomach with the whole situation. Horrible experience, hope that’s not happening to selected families because that’s embarrassing for the restaurant and a big injustice. Poor ethics, do better and make the world a...
Read moreVery nice servers, food is good but the owner lacks manners. I can understand the place gets hectic because of high demand. However, you should try to please your customers who ultimately go to your place to patronize your business. Especially when tables consume $300-$500 on average. This is not a cheap place even though it is not fancy by any means.
Another really bad thing is restroom for men is just one messy toilet for the amount of guests that regularly attend. This has been like that for the last 3-4 years I have visited. If that's the attention to sanitation given in this public area I don't want to imagine the kitchen where you don't have access.
Unfortunately, this is my last visit. All we asked for was arranging a couple of tables so that our family could sit together. Every restaurant we have visited provides this courtesy. They don't accept reservations, it is first come, first seated. So, we went to the pain of being there early and made the first in line before their business opening at noon.
So, we waited 30 minutes outside before we could park, once we got inside the restaurant we were seated in the worst part of the dining area in separate tables and ended being served two hours after since being first that day didn't mean anything to them.
The owner may have her side of the story but I am not buying it. She was rude, didn't want to understand our request and simply gave us her true self. She has enough business to shove clients away with her attitude and couldn't care less. Good bye Maribó...most probably you will not need us but we will not...
Read moreFrom the food to the service this place was disappointing, for starters the place was packed and there was little space to move, this made it really uncomfortable, also the service was average to say the least. It was loud due to music and the amount of people there and this caused miscommunication between you and the waiters, we literally had to speak into the waiters ear. The food wasn't any better, we had ordered Chorrizos, Croquettes, and fried cheese for appetizers, we had to send back the Chorrizos because they were undercooked, the Croquettes were full of salt and the fried cheese was the most decent part but still lacked flavor. For the entrée we all ordered fine meat cuts but it didn't matter because everything was made the same way! The only ingredients they seem to have are onions, garlic, salt, and LOTS OF OIL. Gordon Ramsay would say he could swim in that much oil, but in all seriousness the plates were drenched in oil, and the meats were cooked in grills that haven't been cleaned since the restaurant opened because it was full of charcoal. Last but not least was the price of it all that came around $160, so definitely not...
