Hometown Pizza At Clarks Corner — Restaurant in Adrian Township

Great Pizza but will not honor advertised pricing.

Received a flyer in the mail that had coupons on one side and what appeared to be regular pricing on the other. I called to order a 16" sub for take out. I was told by the lady that answered the phone they didn't make 16" subs but she could make me two 8" subs. I told her that was fine, I will take one 8" steak and cheese. She said my total would be $7.25. The flyer I had said $6 as a normal menu price. I took the flyer with me to pick up my sub. I showed the lady that works in the kitchen and she said, "That is the wrong price." I said it doesn't matter if it wrong, it is your advertising. She would not honor the price so I told her to keep her sub.

So my next step was to speak to Todd the owner who I know. I ran into Todd a few days later and showed him his flyer and asked if he would honor the $6 price for a 8" sub and he said, "No, that's not the right price." I told him it was his advertising so how can it not be right. Then Todd tells me, "You can't use two discounts." WHAT? I'm not trying to get any discount just your menu price printed in your flyer. So, which is it? The wrong price? Or a discounted price? What was the first discount I was trying to get? He is giving me two different reasons for not honoring is advertised pricing.

I know how advertising works and somebody proofed the flyer before it was distributed. Good food but watch what you are charged, he didn't honor his advertised...

On 11-6-21 we ordered several pizzas. One of our speciality pizzas was not made properly. It was a taco pizza in which they forgot all the other ingredients besides cheese and refi beans. We called and the person apologized stating they had a new hire and would add a free pizza to our account. I called today to order two pizzas one being that free pizza. The person I spoke with basically said they do not show it on the account and refused to honor the previous promise despite knowing the exact dates, order, the fact they agreed a new person started back then, etc. The manager that was put on the phone was also unprofessional and unwilling to assist in resolving the situation. I do not mind the occasional mess up but not honoring your commitment when you do mess up is a big issue for me. I will not order or stop in the convinces store until they honor there commitment after having this error. I will also be contacting my credit card company to charge back charges from the 11:06 as I never received the correct pizza or...

This was our first time ordering from here and unfortunately likely our last. The wings are $12 for 8. Yes they are jumbo as advertised however they were truly inedible, they were so soggy and fatty with almost no sauce. It was a sin to waste them, not just because of the cost but I hate to waste meat. The pizzas were alright, but it was a bit odd that a 3 topping medium is $13, but a 1 topping medium costs $13.50, so you're paying more for less. There's also an added charge for using debit but they don't tell you this.

I was thrown off that it was also inside of a convenient store. Not necessarily a bad thing, it was just really odd.

I will say that staff was nice, but at the end of the day I'd have much rather have decent food for our family dinner tonight. Again, the pizzas were alright, but not enough to want to order from here again. 😔
