One star only because I had to make an entry. My wife had a planned a baby shower with 22 people in attendance but was required to commit to the 25 headcount minimum. As is usually the case at these events, the days activities were the focal point and ladies didn't eat all of the food so there were plenty of (paid for) leftovers. When my wife asked if they could take the leftovers home she was told "no" without any acceptable explanation as to why.
It was buffet style so we know it would not be reused but to not have an explanation as to why we couldn't take home the food that was paid for was quite perplexing. But it all became clearer when one of my daughters noticed departing workers leaving with take out containers of the leftover food.
If that wasn't disappointing enough. In reviewing the bill that was presented at the end of the shower before making out the check, she noticed a "convience fee" line item on the bill which they told her would only be charged if paid by credit card. Had she not noticed this, I'm not sure what would have happened but given the fact that Crestview personnel started "hoovering" around the room around 3:15PM (my wife and daughters felt pressured to wrap things up soon) it was evident that wanted the shower to end promptly at the 4 PM scheduled end time and a rushed checkout would probably not have caught that problem.
Crestview has been around a long time so maybe this was an anomaly. All I know is that this was our experience and we were...
Read moreThis course was in tremendously rough shape. We got a discount as a result, which was kind of the operators, but it was still priced too high, even with the discount. There was no drinking water on the course, bathrooms were closed, the greens were very beat up, and honestly, it almost looked like the course could not find greens help that knew what they were doing. With all of the rain in July, I find it hard to believe that greens and fairways could get burnt, but they were. The sand traps looked good at first view, but as soon as you had to hit out of them... some were like hitting out of a gravel parking lot. Also, one of the help must have mistakenly mowed when they shouldn't have, because many of the fairways had huge tractor burns right down the middle of them. I know this sounds like a harsh review, and I apologize tremendously to the owners because I know it it very difficult to operate a course, but this is supposedly where professional tournaments were held. I could see how the course COULD be magnificent, but it seems to have fallen on hard times. Priced $30 lower, and this review would be...
Read moreI visited Crestview Country Club June 23rd, to meet with Donna Fleury and get a tour of the grounds which ultimately led us to the Veranda to have a cocktail.
Sitting outside on the Veranda was the most relaxing experience I have had in long time with my hectic travel life. It was nice to not have any background noise while were were chatting. Perfect weather, the AMBIANCE and OUTSIDE LIGHTING paralelled the feeling of being at a Resort.
I had the pleasure of sitting where I was overlooking the Golf Course blending in with the Mountains in the background. There was a beautiful and peaceful sunset.
Laura and Liz were our waitresses. These ladies were always there when we needed something. The food was wonderful and the prices were shockingly low for the high quality. If you are looking for a quiet location with great food and fantastic views, you must visit Crestview Country Club in Agawam, Massachusetts
CRESTVIEW IS NOW OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. There are various banquet rooms available for Parties, Showers, Receptions etc. This is a MUST in your entertainment bucket list. Enjoy!...
