Today, I visited Crumb and let me tell you, the moment I saw matcha and lemonade on the menu, I knew I had to ask for my favorite drink: matcha lemonade. Even though it wasn’t on the menu, they didn’t hesitate to accommodate my request. Their willingness to go above and beyond for a customer truly impressed me. The matcha lemonade was absolutely delicious, perfectly balancing the tartness of the lemonade with the unique flavor of matcha. I usually prefer my lemonade really sour, but this one was just right.
I also indulged in a few treats: the Turmeric and Ginger cookie, the vegan Coconut and Lime cookie, and the cornbread. Each item was bursting with flavor, and the ingredients were so well balanced that I could savor each one individually. My boyfriend chose the Matcha Cheesecake and the vegan Coconut and Lime cookie as well. Surprisingly, the cheesecake had a unique flavor profile that reminded me of guava and cheese, with a matcha aftertaste. It was delightful, and I couldn't help but wonder if the crust was made with guava cookies. There was also a hint of salt and lime that added an extra layer of complexity to the flavor. (Don't quote me on the guava flavor, maybe I'm just crazy.)
Overall, my visit to Crumb was exceptional. The staff's willingness to accommodate my request and the quality of their products left a lasting impression. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of their offerings. Thank you so much for making my visit...
Read moreMy wife has really serious celiac, traveling is always a bit scary for us - every meal out is a roll of the dice, despite assurances and GF menu options. Definitely surprised to see a fully gluten free bakery on the island!!!! Still skeptical, we drove over an hour out of our way - is it for real???!! IT WAS!! Within seconds of chatting with the owner, I realized that my queen would be safe eating anything from the menu, no doubt, no question. My wife ordered. A lot. She was very excited. I reserved judgment. Sure, it was safe - but was it going to be any good? My wife (begrudgingly) shared a (very) small spoonful of goat cheese cheesecake. It was good. Better than good. INCREDIBLE. Color me shocked. Usually GF food has an asterisk on any review - it's good* (for gluten free). This was great, full stop. Everything I tried was great, no question, no asterisk. I'm a fat man who cooks. I take these things seriously. I'd drive an hour out of my way next time I'm on the island to have a slice of that cheesecake, even if my wasn't with me. Might be a good idea, if she's not with me for the trip, I might get more than...
Read moreI am visiting my family in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and it has been challenging to find gluten free food. This place is a game changer. It is a dedicated gluten free bakery which sells amazing coffees, matchas, and baked goods.
I had the pleasure to met the owner who was proud to share her story with us. I had the coffee rolls attached, a matcha float, and some toast.
The coffee rolls were probably the best I have ever had (gluten free or non-gluten free) and the matcha float had homemade ice cream in it which was delicious.
If you are in the area and need to find a gluten free spot I couldn’t recommend this spot more. I will definitely be back when I come back to visit. Thank you...
