I stopped in a few times to throw to darts and have a drink; ended up speaking with the staff to find out they were interested in the Aiken tournament dart league. A few weeks later when the next season began, I found out that Bruce's bar and grill was an official location with a team of its own! I don't know if what I had mentioned to the staff made a difference or if they had already planned it, but I'm happy to have them in the Aiken tournament dart league schedule. As a VFW 10601, home team captain, I feel I will look forward to our League events at Bruce's bar for the foreseeable future. The food is great, The drinks are great! The conversation with patrons is great, The bathrooms are clean, The streets are slow, and the darts fly straight. Definitely couldn't say anything negative, other than not getting to play there more this season as an away team. The double cheeseburger is massive. If you get the Philly cheesesteak get it to go and leave it in the wrapper for 30 minutes before you open it. If you like spicy stuff, add jalapenos that are grilled to the Philly cheese steak. The $4 grilled cheese is worth it. The cheese pull is ungodly. Has to be at least three to four cheese slices and it's buttered bread like it's Zaxby's. That shiznit is delicious. Also a bucket of beer is like $12.75 on darts night and comes with six brewski's. I might be a dollar or two off on that price. But in any case, I could name more places that charge $4 a domestic beer in a bottle Then I have fingers; especially in this area. Plenty of parking, The customers have more topics than you can count to talk about. Covered parking for motorcycles in the front, dirt lot all the way around the back for trucks to include trailers if you go all the way to the end. Right on 421 down the road from daily dose and the graniteville exchange. For sure. Drive safe and keep it between the mayonnaise and mustard. I would use cruise control cuz these small towns on 421 definitely have more than enough reason to look out for ticketing money. Don't know if they do the quota thing anymore but six towns with different names in a 15 mi radius, on one street, definitely adds up to Funding issues. which means our wildest dreams of lottery winnings are being achieved by the "one time" to better the community from the perspective of that local government. All I can say is they have a hard job ahead of them all the time and I wouldn't jump in their spot. That being said, there is always a presence available in minutes if you are in that area and enjoying the bar. It is definitely one of the good safe havens on 421 where people will look out for you. A luxury you don't get in Augusta if you're bar hopping. Unless you run into somebody you know, the odds of you seeing anyone in Augusta again and knowing you saw them are next to none if you were to go every night for a week. At this spot, you have regulars and the staff is small and friendly. You will very likely talk to people more than once if you show up here multiple times a week. It's a place you will end up knowing most of the customers, which means that you might end up in a position of being a regular here. Definitely do anything you can to find out about the Dart League if you come in here. We lost 175 people when COVID came through to sickness or not being willing to go in public. So we are doing everything we can to build up the league and would be happy to have anybody join a team, if they need help finding one or help to start a team if they have a group of people. Bruce's would be a great homefront that only has one home team I believe, so that would be a great opportunity supporting the community for a minimal investment quality. All you need are darts and $25 to join the League. Alot of teams have extra darts that they can help you out with. At the end of the season there is a banquet at the main VFW location and as a league member you can bring your family/ husband/wife/children/significant others as paid guests of the league, We also typically have a few kegs. Bruce's...
Read moreThey are very nice and try to make sure that your day or not is very enjoyable. I had a problem with some food hamburger and send it back and it still wasn't right. So I took it in to see the manager had planned on telling them off. But she was so nice and when I said I just wanted my money back she said okay but she still wanted to try to make me a hamburger that would suit me and make me happy. She went out of her way allowed her to make the Hamburger. And I have to say it was one of the best I had had in a long time. I would give Bruce's Bar and Grill my business for a good old fashion hamburger and fries and a good drink. I would say that Bruce's Bar and Grill is great for a good time good food and good...
