AT THIS LOCATION AND OTHERS IN THIS DISTRICT ACCORDING TO THE EMPLOYEES THEY HAVE TO CHARGE A 20% TO GO FEE ON ORDERS TAKEN OUT OF THE STORE TO EAT, TWENTY PERCENT!!!!!
......When someone calls in to place a to go order, as a courtesy, your staff should advise YOUR store only in my very recent research, charges a 20% to go fee on customers orders.
Honestly, this would have made us come inside and rest while traveling a bit. We even tipped the waitress who gave me a credit card slip, but at no time did I see my order ticket or did she mention it. When I walked out to my car and looked at my receipt, I then noticed it and returned inside. I paid 3.50 to walk out with my food...plus I tipped her bc I didn't see an itemized receipt until after the entire thing was over!!
Up until this point, Amber provided good service. After this, everything went south. I asked for an explanation no one could offer. I mentioned that telling customers of the fee might eliminate this conversation in the future, the manager Will, agreed yet said he cant ask them to advise folks of that. There is more, but Google doesnt care.
If you order and eat, you will be fine. If you question anything or ask for something, you might have just asked them to stare at you because it isn't in their paygrade.
Waffle House, do better on educating customer service. If it makes sense, a customer cant argue....but a 20% to go fee arbitrarily in Aiken SC and not in any Atlanta Market store we frequent??? Seems like a way to make up revenue lost bc of poor in-store service.

The restaurant was clean, the staff were nice, and friendly, the food was good, and while we were there, a nice customer paid for our meals, which was really nice of him. He didn't tell us he was going to do so, and hadn't even talked to us, beyond a greeting when we first went in! I suppose it was just one of those things that some people choose to do anonymously. My brother didn't go in right away because he went to get some gas while the rest of us got food, so, maybe the customer thought that we ladies were on our own, but, whatever his reason was, we really appreciated...
Read moreJust left. Waitress was super nice and I must say had much faith and very strong minded to deal with the nasty cook whom she called the order too. I heard the waitress when she called the order correctly. The cook left the cheese out in the eggs. When told it was incorrect, the cook got mad and it showed as she angrily threw the entire plate away. Then told the waitress she better get her waffles over there because she is not cooking anymore! So sad to see people act that way in a public establishment when it really was the cooks fault. That waitress was left with a pretty nice tip from my husband and I just for putting up with that nasty cook. (Sunday morning, August 20,...
