Today is my birthday and my husband and I decided to go out to lunch, because of the virus we haven't been out to restaurants much. We had enjoyed Brandin in the past. They had a section of the restaurant set aside for lunch, no one wore masks. We were taken to a booth right away, hostess asked what we wanted to drink before we sat down and gave us menus. Just started to look at the menus when the waitress came up to to take our order, I explained we just sat down to give us a minute. Came took our order bought a side salad to my husband he said tasted like it had been setting in the fridge awhile. Waitress came back with the food quickly. I ordered the lunch ribeye steak a bake potato and a side of sauteed mushrooms my husband order on regular menu a 8 oz top sirloin steak with French fries. My potato was cold, the butter I put on it would melt. The mushrooms were uneatable, they tasted and looked like mushrooms from a can, no way they were sauteed. My husband said his fry's where cold, he said the steak was tough, he said he didn't think it was a sirloin steak. When the waitress came with the bill I asked her to take off the mushrooms, explained why also told her about potato. She could of cared less, so didn't go into my husband experience. We paid $28 plus tip for this experience. I'm not a happy camper. My recommendation,...
Read moreI was looking forward to visiting here to see what they do. Had read good things.
First, it's not someplace special to take your wife to. Not upscale, not fancy, but adequate. Ate at a small table for 2 that barely had enough room for two plates.
Then the salad bar. Greens were nice and crisp, fresh. The rest was ho hum. No blue cheese dressing so I went with ranch and found it very runny, almost watered down. Not something I would call restaurant quality. The peaches on the bar were good though, but very fresh from the can.
Now for the main course. Wife ordered the delmonico steak medium rare and a loaded baked potato. Her steak was very thin, maybe 3/8" thick, and cooked to medium well. Had one end with black char. Not cooked evenly or to correct temp. I went for the 18 ounce ribeye medium rare and the loaded baked potato. My potato would not melt butter. Not hot at all. The steak was cooked to the rare side of medium rare and was tender and tasty but about 1/2 the steak was inedible fat and gristle. I like my steak with some fat on it but this was ridiculous. I left half of what they served me on my plate. The prices were lower than any place in our area for a steak dinner, getting out for about $60 including a 20% tip. Service was very good.

Read moreThe most colossal disappointment 😞 We ordered simple menu items Jalapeño poppers-menu states 6 per order, we received 5... they were still cold on the inside so inedible I ordered smothered sirloin tips on rice, ordered medium rare. They were supposed to be served on rice with sautéed onions and grilled onions with beef gravy. They arrived well done, no onions, and gravy that looked like who knows what, but that obviously been sitting for a LONG time because it was served in a separate bowl with the "skin" of old gravy throughout. To top it off, our check was stuffed into my entree. When I asked for my meal to be fixed, I got worse than before.
My husband ordered the sirloin with baked potato. His steak was SO thin it was more cutlet than steak. 30 seconds (no exaggerating) the server came out and told him they were out of baked potatoes and suggested fries. His meal arrived so quickly that the fries had already been cooked.
The service was teeny bopper with bad attitude.
When I went to psychology the bill, the cashier looked at our check and said, " Eewww, that's gross! What is that?" "My entree. I was stuffed under my rice and sirloin tips!"
Never ever again
This was an incredible disappointment and a complete...
