Ice In Paradise — Restaurant in Alabama

Let me 1st start off by saying that I have NEVER EVER LEFT the 1st review on anything "review related".... But here I go leaving my 1st ever review !!

Ice in Paradise use to be my favorite place to order from. I've spent ALOT of money there throughout the years they have been there........BUT.....unfortunately due to ONE newly (very rude) employee I will no longer be back. After the 1st rude encounter I received from her I contacted the owners (whome are very nice). She said she would "handle it" and sincerely apologized for how I was treated.

That was about 3-4 weeks ago. So tonight I decided I'd give it a 2nd try in hopes of the same gal NOT answering the phone. 1st 4 times I tried calling I kelp being hung up on. Finally the 5th time the SAME girl answers. She answered ... no surprise... "VERY RUDLY" cause clearly the caller ID informed her on who was calling. She answered "Ice in paradise" in a VERY UNFRIENDLY WAY.... I said "I need to place a order please". Her exact words was "What DO you WANT"? .... UMMM REALLY ???? How is that good customer service???? Sooooo after that I still preceded to tell her my order and all I ordered was a large cheese dip and small guac and she told me 25-30 mins.🤔...... I've never ever waited 25-30 for dip before and I've ordered just that many, many times...AND I dang sure haven't ever repeatedly been hung up on like that either.. Anywho with that being said along with another phone call .... I WILL NOT BE ORDERING THERE NO LONGER. I WILL GO TO PETERSVILLE FROM NOW ON!!!

I did what I thought to be the right thing the 1st time by contacting the main person, but unfortunately just one single person has ruined me fron EVER giving them my business again! Not just my business, but there are others that will not be going there as well.

I really wanted to love this restaurant. It’s close to where I live; it’s local. It’s really nice to have something close and small town, but the food has to be good. It’s just not here. It really could be but it’s just not. I got the chicken and rice my husband got steak fajita nachos. We started with the usual chips and salsa. These I could have had at home from the grocery store. Opening a bag of nachos and serving that is such a let down. Honestly, it’s cheaper to cut up your soft shells and fry them than opening that bag. It’s not that hard. And that salsa was entirely too hot. Not everyone enjoys it that hot. My dinner had a lot of meat, I’ll give it that. It was just really tasteless. The rice had spice but not flavor. The saddest part was plating it on a paper plate. That little bit of cheese sauce just got sucked up by the plate. Just terrible. My husband’s plate was a bit more but lacking more meat. Again with bagged chips and barely any cheese sauce again. It really wasn’t worth the...

Very bland and average. Food had no real flavor. Grilled chicken was not seasoned at all. Service was fine and friendly, but don’t have any expectations on the food. Just a small hole in the wall place with food that will fill avoid, but not much else. I will say this is my first time here, so maybe a second visit will be better. Chicken was very dry and possibly left over from the day before. At least that is what it tasted like. Sorry, but honesty is important and I can’t rate average food any better...
