Wonderfully sweet people! I was on a road trip, and there isn't much along this road in the way of restaurants. So, when I passed and saw the lights on, I whipped it back around. When I entered, I noticed they were finishing cleaning the buffet. I asked if they were closed. They were. It was 8:03 and they closed at 8. Most places would have seen me back to the door. Nope! Not these kind people! They directed me to the owner, who then went back to the kitchen to see what she still had. I walked out with some chicken and dumplings that tasted like my grannie made them and a twice baked potato (with the fixins!), and a sweet tea. Did I have to eat in my truck in the parking lot? Yes! Was I mad about it? Absolutely not! I will definitely try to stop back by before they close next time!! Thank you for not sending me on down the road!!

Saw the name of this place on our way to the beach and just had to check it out. They have a buffet that apparently changes entree stylings frequently or a pretty lengthy menu of blue plate lunches, burgers and fries platters. I can't pass up fried chicken livers and they were very good plus a hefty portion. Sides were fine, standard fare of fries, slaw, etc. While it initially took us a while to get seated with menus, service was hospitable and frequent once we got our drinks. Prices were more than reasonable especially for a local establishment. Four stars because buffet is pretty small in terms of choices and it took a while for our food to come. Would certainly stop here again!

I have seen the "It Don't Matter" restaurant signs for years whenever I would come to Alabama to visit family. Now that we have moved here, I learned that it was in fact a restaurant I wanted to try. So the signs worked! I was pleasantly surprised. The price was very good considering it was an all-you-can-eat buffet with drinks included. The best thing about the buffet was the fried chicken. It was up there with the best of them. There was plenty of parking, friendly people, and an overall pleasant experience.

The service was top notch and the staff was very friendly. The atmosphere was what you expected to see in a place that has a fish buffet. It could use some updating to showcase the local area or personalities. Now the important part, the food. It was all cooked perfect. But, it was typical items off of the Sysco truck. It wasn’t poor quality, it just wasn’t what I expected with a parking lot full of vehicles. The catfish was probably the best thing on the line. It was CLEAN and cooked just right. The hush puppies were meh. The stuffed crabs were food service type, but that’s ok, I like em. The crawfish boil was as expected. I understand it was out of season and you gotta use frozen. I would probably just go with a crawfish dish instead. The clam strips were a welcomed treat. Of course they are off the truck, but I like em. The trick is to not overcook them. Y’all did it. Not too bad for having new cooks. A word of advice, get away from the frozen country fried steak. Get some good bottom round, soak it in buttermilk, and dredge in seasoned flour. Trim down the menu and make what you got to make your place a true “can’t miss” stop. My daughter loved the fried green tomatoes and our server was...

Menu said burger, came with lettuce tomatoes etc it came with nothing, and I make a way better burger at home, js $7 & change, then the french fries ordered and charged separately, my daughters shrimp tasted like old grease, her instant potatoes, they went and plated off the buffet line and they tasted gross, she said her side salad she made herself was good though, I couldn't get our waitress attention to order something else for my daughter, so we asked the hostess if I could get a chicken sandwich for her, A couple of times we couldn't get it waitress attention as she stood in the kitchen doorway talking, we waited forever for a to go box the hostess finally got it, and after we waited for the ticket so long we finally went to pick out the shirts and to pay for our meal, well apparently after we left the table thinking the ticket was the register our missing waitress put the ticket at the empty table 🙄 the hostess went back to get it. There were only two other tables occupied at the time, even the waitress remarked how slow it was at that time. Not impressed with food or service, Hostess with the pink hair was...

Apparently, “It really don’t matter how you’re treated at It Don’t Matter.” Truly, this place should be renamed We Don’t Care—at least not at 10:06 a.m. After inquiring about their breakfast buffet we were informed it ended at 10 and the lunch buffet began at 11. Not wishing to wait 44 minutes, we ordered hamburgers and side items. Imagine our surprise when more guests arrived and began eating the lunch buffet at 10:25. Today was not our first visit here, and we purposely drive through Highland Home en route to Georgia to enjoy their buffet. We would have been “okay” with school cafeteria burgers if that were the only option. Additionally, my drink sat empty after our burgers arrived and my burger was missing two toppings. After our waiter finally reappeared we inquired about the lunch buffet. “Oh, it always starts at 10:30; not sure who told you 11.” So, we left one half-eaten burger and another one with one bite consumed and departed the restaurant after paying $12+ for virtually nothing. “We Don’t Care” is not an establishment we’ll patronize again and we will cease recommending it as we have done...
