Lori Darlins — Restaurant in Alabama

Had one of the best meals with fantastic service a couple months ago. The food was undoubtedly fresh (it's pretty easy to tell the difference between fresh and "freshly frozen" 🙄), as were the condiments. We drove all the way from Birmingham to eat at this restaurant; I wish it was closer! I see that the negative reviews come from: Someone who has left only 2 reviews ever, and neither was complimentary. I'm guessing he has bad days often. Someone with an axe to grind because her mama 'used to' work there. I'll bet she still lives at home with Mama, and can't form her own unbiased opinions.

I know this for a fact: this restaurant gives back to the community AND they take care of their own. I look forward to eating there again and would recommend that establishment to anyone visiting from out of town, and anyone who might be in that area.

Update: 6/13/20 Ate there again tonight, and the food was STILL as good as the first time I ate there. Had the all you can eat catfish, with fried green tomatoes and fried okra. The sad part about eating the catfish there is that when you eat fried catfish anywhere else, it's always disappointing. However they bread their fish is an incredible secret. They are truly...

Fantastic food. Service is warming & Very welcoming. It was packed when we went on Saturday. Don't know if it's like that every Saturday or not, but the waitresses was the only waitresses there & she was on top of everything & drinks Never got low. We had a party of 7 & the food took a while to come out, but was worth the wait. Good ol' fashioned country cooking. Mashed potatoes were phenomenal as well as the country fried steak. Tried the hamburger steak & it was fantastic. Turnip greens were the best & softest I've ever had. Okra was a little over cooked, but tasted great. Kids got chicken fingers with fries & it tasted wonderful. The breading they use was fantastic. Fries were perfect. Sweet tea was amazing. Nice sitting area outside in the back. Had a horseshoe pit, but only 1 horseshoe. Basketball net out there too. Overall,,, we can't Wait to go...

We had heard a lot of good things about Lori Darlins in Fayetteville, Al and how true it is. First of all Aleisha was our server, (I think she is a jack of all trades there), she was fantastic, always attentive to what we needed and super friendly. Anyway I ordered the fried Chicken liver plate with butter beans and fried okra and a side salad, absolutely some of the best livers I've ever had. The plate had so many livers I brought some home, my wife ordered the 2 piece fish plate with cole slaw and sweet potatoe casserole, let me tell you there was enough fish for 2 people.
