Finally had time to try it (I'd have done so ages ago, but no drive-thru). Breve latte was delicious! Crustless pie, tasty but WAY more black pepper than needed and it was barely warm. Luckily, the homemade pepper sauce had plenty of heat to warm it up! I picked up the pie and dipped it in my sauce. Unfortunatel, the seating options weren't ideal. The most comfortable looking chairs are too low for me to get out of with no arms and all the other seating is hard high stools or a bench against the wall with a cushion here and there, again, nothing with arms to help get out of them. I don't see myself coming here often because of the lack of drive through and the lack of comfortable seating. My total was $14. There were no prices anywhere, so I had no idea what I was going to pay, i was not given a receipt, so I don't know what the individual items cost, but I feel it was overpriced for what I received. Am I glad I tried it? Yes, I needed a spot to the kill time, and the coffee drink was delicious. Will I be back? Probably not.

This was a great experience. Wonderful space and atmosphere in the morning time. The staff were polite and friendly, informative too about the coffees, pastries and Aussie Pies. One staff member explained everything is made from scratch, I could glimpse the baking equipment around the partition separating the front counter area and kitchen. šŸ˜‰ Always good to know things are prepped and cooked in house. The coffee chai latte was well balanced and tasty. The Aussie pie was delicious and the in house dipping sauce was spicy but also tasty. Haven’t tried the pumpkin spice cream cake yet, that will be my afternoon snack. Again, worth a visit if you’re in Alachua. I was told this is one of six locations, mostly in the St. Augustine area. I’ll be sure to visit another when I’m in that area. Great food and feel! Kudos to the Kookaburra!

My daughter and I stopped here and back during our journey to the regional trampoline and tumbling meet. We have been to one of the St. Augustine locations and unfortunately did not try a meat pie during our first visit. Luckily, we stopped at about 4pm to refuel with iced Aussie diesel coffee and frozen hot chocolate. The meat pies are half off in the late afternoon. We picked up three flavors, a traditional meat pie, Thai chicken chili, and the weekend special creamy chicken bell pepper. My two year old son engulfed the creamy chicken bell pepper meat pie while the traditional meat pie was my favorite. Thai was decent, with a little bit of spice. I would definitely get the weekend special again! Overall, this is one of our favorite coffee and snack stops. We will definitely be back!

UPDATED review after more visits: Kook has the smoothest-tasting coffee in town. And most of the pastries and Aussie pies are delicious. Appreciate their avoidance of seed oils. Cakes are moist. Cookies are pretty great. Scones are pretty dry. There's plenty of room to work with lots of places to plug in. The lighting is nice and bright. But the music is consistently way too loud to allow for a nice conversation or any focused work. It's been mentioned ... and ignored. The biggest problem is that they have changed their to-go cups and/or lids. About two or three months ago, we started noticing that we were spilling coffee on ourselves. It became habit to check to be sure the lids on the cups were secure, but even still, the lids leak. This has meant multiple forced returns home to change clothes before appointments. We've mentioned it to staff members and they've acknowledged that they have heard this complaint many times and they passed the concern to management. But they haven't addressed the problem. What a shame. I hate to see businesses fail because of problems that could be easily addressed. But I suspect there are many customers who are going to stop going in. Today's ruined shirt was the last straw. We're done. We can make pretty great coffee and...
