Taste Coffee Company — Restaurant in Alaiedon Township

In my experience, this is now a favorite coffee shop of mine, and I will be going back.

The coffee was delicious. Taste Coffee is using a delicious roast which rises above most others. While being flavorful, it was smooth and easy on my sensitive stomach. I loved every drop of my unflavored latte. Oh, and the pretzel and dip are worth it. I guarantee. I also enjoyed the scone.

The atmosphere was as decent, considering the building is soon to be demolished from being old and in need of repair. They seem to have promising plans for an impressive new construction. Sometimes, the environment is noisy though and not a good vibe for hanging out. Don't wait though, what they have now is charming in certain areas. Being just a few miles off the main town of Okemos, I will easily make the detour.

It’s hard to make a short summary how wonderful this business is. Not only is the coffee delicious without being packed full of Syrups and sugars, but their baked goods and food menu items are out of this world addictive.

But the real charm is a group of young professionals behind that counter. The people processing transactions and taking care of the customer at this location are almost always minors. These young adults have restored my faith in humanity. Seen their urgent and professional mindset, positivity, grace, and camaraderie, is inspirational. Absolutely lovely place! I'm not from the area, so I wanted to try a local cafe. I was immediately greeted by the owner who was sitting and conversing with someone else at the time before walking into the cafe. It has quite a cozy interior as well, whether you're studying by yourself or bringing a large group of friends into one of their many large tables in the back; your experience here is what you make it. The maple latte I got was delicious and so was the warmed everything bagel. In addition to the friendly service, this is honestly everything someone could want out of their experience in a cafe.
