Hole in the Wall is a great local bar with some pretty amazing pub food and very friendly staff. Our first evening in Ketchikan we ordered BBQ tri-tip sandwiches, fries, and potato salad, and we were very happy with our meal. The potato salad was loaded with dill (the way it's supposed to be) and was SO good! We came back the next night for more of it plus fries to accompany the king salmon we caught that day. We shared a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a bowl of chili for lunch. We ate on the patio and enjoyed viewing the dock activities. The burger was fabulous - large portion of beef perfectly cooked, delicious bacon, pepper jack cheese and all the regular toppings. They provided all the sauce toppings to choose from.
