Nugget Restaurant — Restaurant in Alaska

(2021 Edit:) New ownership has transformed this place. What an amazing turnaround! I now consider this to be the best airport restaurant in the world. The legendary pies are still going strong and they've treated me amazingly well in three trips up there this year.

(2019 review below) What a horrible bartender. She threw everyone out of the restaurant with 5 minutes to go in the biggest Seahawks game of the year and locked the door with an entire plane load of people wanting to get in because she wanted to go home instead of waiting 6 more minutes and making more money. She wouldn't even let my mother stay and watch the end of the game while she closed up.

Unbelievable. I've never seen anything like it. She must be a former or future...

Excellent food. However, the manager was extremely rude! First time experience at this restaurant and tells us that we can have anything but the chili because they ran out. My husband asked for clarification on what they were out of. The manager popped off saying something rude with his response. My husband told him that he didn't have to be rude. The manager replied, "oh yes, I can be rude because I'm the manager, I can be rude, hahaha". The manager was still extremely rude upon checking out the tab. He was being very disrespectful and should not be the manager of anything if he's going to treat anyone that way. Other than that, the young lady waitress was wonderful and food was great. The Manager is a douche bag and does not deserve...

Get the pie! This restaurant is tucked into the corner of Sitka's airport. It has a diner atmosphere and is perfect for passing the time while waiting for your flight. Prices are reasonable and staff was friendly and quick Get the pie!!! It was awesome! I got the blackberry, rhubarb, and strawberry pie with ice cream. It was delicious and was a delicious way to close out my trip to Sitka.

Edit: went here for breakfast and their breakfast's are pretty spot on as well. It was a little crowded on Sunday morning but we were still able to get a table in a reasonable time (we had a large party) and get food ordered. The food was delicious!
