The King Cone — Restaurant in Alaska

You can't miss The cone King as you drive along the highway. I'd highly recommend stopping. They have all kinds of shakes, ice creams, soft serve flavors, really anything Frozen and delicious you can get here. They have tons of toppings and different mixed flavors that are super good. I got the chocolate brownie blast with Oreos on a waffle cone and it was like the best chocolate ice cream I think I've ever had. They don't have a way to mix the Oreos into the ice cream like Cold Stone, so she just put some in the bottom of the cone and stuck some onto the top of the ice cream scoop which I figured was fine enough. We stopped here a second time on our way back through and I tried the soft serve, and I will say it's cool they can infuse one of right flavors like chocolate, black cherry, cheesecake, caramel, etc. But I can't say I was wild about the soft serve itself. A bit too much on the icy side for me and the ice cream itself didn't have a full flavor. I would more highly recommend the hard serve, the chocolate and the mint hard serves were fantastic. It's a cool little family run business, when we walked in the grandfather was holding his baby granddaughter in his arm and took our order, and the mother was dutifully preparing the ice creams. I had to 1v2 these crazy guys who ran this “ice cream shop” and even had a stare down at one point. in all seriousness though, these guys were great and had a great conversation with both of them. They both had good humor and made me feel welcomed and i was able to joke with them casually. They have a variety of sweets for really cheap (whatever the sign says is what the price is) and the ice cream was pretty good. Its a standard drive through but we ordered 2 corn dogs and had to wait 15+ minutes without getting a heads up when we ordered that they would take a while. We would have passed on the dogs as we were in a hurry. Kind of a bummer since in the end they didn't taste...
