Papa T's BBQ — Restaurant in Alba

Well…I started to give these guys a bad review for selfish reasons! I was afraid if I gave my 100% honest review then the secret might get out of how awesome amazing this BBQ is and I wouldn’t be able to just drop get bbq like today! Ok,I’m kidding kinda… Go try try it! They are in downtown Alba, Texas kind of off the beaten path and a total secret sleeper kind of place. Once word gets out, it will be another one of the daily sell out kind of bbq places that you hear about in Texas monthly and from food critics. Well, need I say more, I am a former BBQ business and catering company owner, I have eaten and cooked my fair share of good bbq! But these guys…their bbq is 10 out of 10! Thank you so much for the people who put there time and effort into this place! I came here after church with some of my church family and the food was absolutely amazing. They said they would not be able to be open Sunday anymore unless they had enough people coming and working making there time worth while! The food is definitely worth it and the people that keep it going are well worth it as well! If you get hungry get in there and try it! Remember we are all human and we all have off days sometimes so make sure to stay kind and patient if busy. I mean this BBQ is good, his smoker is 16ft from bedroom window I stay in at my moms house, so you smell it all day all night I wake up craving meat every day, but the guy has got it nailed down everything all of it i dont use sauce on my chopped beef it doesn't need it the flavor is awesome, and my mom has come to grips that the potatoe salad is better than hers, the people are great if you are down here fishing it is worth whatever detour you need to make to try it, it will be on your goto list...
