Update: They block any people that give an honest poor review on their Facebook page instead of addressing their inadequacy. And they also have deleted ALL reviews on Facebook. Very unprofessional. Save your money and don’t bother with this establishment Stopped in for the first time to check this place out. We thought we would try the bar food before splurging on the dinner menu. My friend ordered the YMH burger. It was supposed to have arugula, crispy onions and cheese. It came out with just cheese. Our waitress caught it and sent it back before it was put down in front of us. It came back with crispy onions but no arugula. 🙄. We were hungry so didn’t want to send it back again so just took it as is. I ordered the black and blue salad. It looked great when it came out but the steak was super, super rare, as in barely seared on the outside but cold and totally raw and lots of gristle. Needless to say, we will not be returning to try anything else. If you can’t get a burger and a salad right………. I’m perplexed that the owners never address the poor reviews and wonder what their business plan is moving forward. I guess it will just be a huge tax writeoff 1st photo is at YMH. 2nd is part of what I brought home for my dog

We had made reservations for 14, including kids. When we arrived, our tables had not been set up. We waited for 15-20 minutes to be seated. There was a "Special Menu" that was told to us verbally. The main menu offered 3 salads, soups, entrees, and sides. Steaks were from $60 - $92. We ordered 2 appetizers, bacon wrapped scallops, and shrimp. We got our drinks within 10 minutes. And then we waited...and waited...and waited..over an hour and half. The scallops came out as well as the soups. Soup was lukewarm at best. The waitress told us that they were out of shrimp when she brought the scallops, which were burnt to the point we left 2 on the platter. I ordered a salad that was served over an hour and 45 minutes later. No entrees came out. We went up to speak to the manager. We had reached the point that we and our kids were starving, and we were no longer willing to wait. My understanding is that this is a new establishment. There is work to be done in how the guests are greeted and treated, the efficiency of the kitchen, the quality of, in my opinion, overpriced, food.

Wow what a place!!! I thought I walked into a main street bar in Nashville. The big guitar outside is a great indicator that it's really cool inside. My ribeye along with the wedge salad was over the top as was the fillet my friend decided on. I enjoyed watching him struggle trying to finish his big steak with fries & asparagus. We waddeled out of YMH with a big belly of food & a big smile. The staff really did well with making us wanting to come back for more! Is it cheap...no, but I'm worth it!! Is it a neat place.....heck yea! Thanx YMH & Staff

It’s a crying shame that a place boasting the best food and service in the area has multiple people walking out without eating!

We reserved a table for 4 for 7PM 2/14/25 excited to try the place out after seeing them advertise a Valentine’s special of steak, lobster, mashed potatoes and asparagus.

We arrived at 655PM along with several others, some claiming reservations and some not. We stood waiting to be greeted for 5 or so minutes when a flustered server came to take us group by group not checking reservations, she then proceeded to frantically attempt to clear several dirty tables on her own.

When we finally sat, we waited 5-10 minutes for a server to ask for our drink order. Then another 10 minutes with no drinks. I went to the bar to order the drinks, was served by the owner. Once our drinks were made, I asked to order our food in which he replied ‘No, I can’t take your order. You have to wait for your server, she will be right over.’

After another 15 minutes our server came over, we proceeded to order the Valentine’s special only to be told they were out of everything but the steak, but she would check with the kitchen to see what sides were available. Another 15 minutes passed with no word, and our drinks were empty. We walked to the bar to pay our tab, the server said our food would be right out but we had no idea what she even ordered for us! We said we weren’t staying and would like to pay for our drinks, she quickly gave us the bill, we paid cash and walked to the door noticing several other table sat at the same time we were, still had also not gotten any food! To top it off, as we reached the door we heard the owner yell from the bar ‘Hey! The drinks here are not free!’ Our server quickly told him we paid, and he yelled again ‘Oh ok, you’re good’

Each time I approached the bar, the owner could be heard and seen swearing and speaking to his staff in an ugly tone. Everyone seemed disheveled.

How embarrassing for an establishment! The Facebook comments on their Valentines post show several remarks of them running out of the special at least by 530PM and several others walking out with out eating after waiting so long for service. It’s as if no one in that place has ever dined or worked at a restaurant before!

If you decide to take a chance at You Mountain House and this happens to you, drive 3.5 miles to the New Albany Dandy Mini Mart - they greeted us warmly and were happy to quickly make...

We read all of the reviews and decided to take a chance on this establishment tonight. We purchased tickets to see Whey Jennings and made dinner reservations. We arrived early to our reservation and was greeted by 3 staff members. We were told what section we would be seated in and were told we could pick where we wanted our table. Perfect. Our waitress,Chrystal, was exceptional and very accommodating. At first, I wasn't sure of the menu and prices, but I tried to keep an open mind. We ordered bacon wrapped scallops - amazing. I had the salmon and baked potato, the Salmon was very good and the baked potato was huge and was probably the best I've ever had. My husband got the $62 steak with mushrooms and onions, asparagus and baked potato. He couldn't even finish it all. He agreed the food was fantastic. Our total bill was just over $200 for our food and adult beverages Yes, it's expensive for our area. It was also the best dinner we have ever had in our area. We thoroughly enjoyed the concert, although we felt bad for the performers as there were not many people there. It was almost like our own private concert.

We left there with the decision that we would definitely go back on special occasions. The atmosphere was very nice, it was very clean, the staff was exceptional and great food.

This venue would make a great place for a wedding reception or special...

We had read the mixed reviews and decided to give this place a try anyway. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. We knew the food would be expensive as we had looked up the menu prior to our arrival. What we didn't expect were the prices were just for the entree, nothing else was included. For the total time that we were there (little less then 2 hours) there were only 16 people dining in. For that amount of people you would expect a little better service in comparison to if there were a lot of people, again, we were wrong. Drinks were wrong, food had to be sent back and then still wasn't correct. When the band started to play, for only 10 of us at that time, it was so loud, we had to resort to texting to hold a conversation within our party. To top it off, when we got our bill we were charged the 3% credit card use when we payed cash and the bill was not corrected to reflect that. The establishment was ok and you could tell they put a lot of work into it. It would be better suited for a wedding/large party venue as opposed to a high end dinner spot. I cant see it lasting very long for the travel time to get there, the mediocre food and the less than stellar service. For the 5 of us our cost was $420. It's not necessarily about the money, but about the experience and if I could I would rate the experience...
