Kind of known as a biker bar by the locals, in season, there wasn't a bike in sight in May, and it was full for dinner. It's a standard small town sports bar with cold beer and bar & grill food. Locals crowd around the tables in the front (which is kind of cool) with others filling the booths and tables past the bar. The nachos were enormous and delicious, too much for the two of us since we also got the huge pretzel, which was also excellent with the beer cheese dip. We skipped the black olives on the nachos...that must be a northeast thing...never saw that in the south. Being in New England, of course the bar was filled with Boston teams memorabilia, a lot of it, and naturally the TVs had the Celtics game on. It felt like we should have seen Ben Affleck and Matt Damon sitting at the bar. Not the most attentive waitress, probably because it was very busy and I'm not docking a star for that. It was good food, a fun and very casual atmosphere, and the most reasonably priced we've seen in this touristy area. The burgers are huge and with fries at least $5 less than everywhere else here. We'll get one next time. My wife is very picky and even she enjoyed it. If you're tired of the overpriced bougie fare at the snooty places, this was a nice change.

Prices were pretty high. Service started well, but we were rarely checked on once she got more tables. All in all, though, the food was good. Portions were fair. I felt $8 for soup was a bit much for a small bowl, considering you'd want to order more with it and there was no sides menu (that I saw, not even a side salad)...So you were stuck ordering soup for $8 and a whole other meal, totalling $25+. With their large menu, this was odd. Patty Melt was delicious, wings were huge and good, pretzel was amazing, but the cheese dip was a bit cold. I didn't care for the string type onion rings, but that's just personal preference. They were fine if that's the type you like. We were just an adult and teen and spent $65 total for one meal with tip. Our most expensive meal of our trip so far. Their kids menu is extremely lacking. Again, considering their huge menu, they need more kid options (3 wings/fries, Grilled chicken breast, spaghetti, would all be reasonable options).

We arrived a bit late to North Conway and it was limited on restaurants to get dinner. We found this place online and it said it was open until 930. We raced over there as it was 840, but when we showed up they were closing saying that they actually close at 9. We were so bummed out and told them thank you anyway. Well the gentlemen said that they would stay open for us to prepare dinner to take with us if we wanted to. They let us stay inside, order dinner for 7 people, talked with us and even let the kids color while we waited. They were super friendly and accommodated us when they didn't have to. We truly appreciated their kindness. On top of that, the food was great. I got a basic BLT and it was to die for. The bacon was incredible and totally made the sandwich. Would definitely recommend coming here if you visit the area.

Hidden Gem Alert! My family and I recently stumbled upon "Almost There Restaurant" in Albany, NH, and what a find it was! Despite arriving on a super busy night, we were promptly seated in a cozy booth. Our server was absolutely fantastic; she was attentive and friendly even with the dinner rush. We were amazed when she took our entire order (including a picky eater's modifications!) without writing anything down, and she got everything perfect. Talk about impressive! The food was delicious! We ordered a variety of dishes to get a good feel for the menu: Fried Green Beans: These were a fantastic starter - perfectly crispy and not greasy at all. Mac and Cheese: Creamy, cheesy comfort food done right. Chicken Palm: A generous portion and cooked to perfection. Veggie Burger: Even the non-veggie lovers in our group were impressed! Best of Both Worlds: This dish offered a great combination of flavors and was a big hit. Our server was on top of everything throughout the meal, even bringing drink refills without us having to ask. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and service. "Almost There Restaurant" is a fantastic option for families. It's clear they prioritize customer service, and the food is top-notch. We will...

My wife and I recently purchased a vacation home in Albany and were anxious try the food at Almost There because it is barely 5 minutes from us. I read some of the reviews and was not sure what to expect but was hopeful. Starting with the woman who greeted and seated us, every one of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our waitress, Kamara came over as soon as we were seated and took good care of us throughout the meal with some help from one of the other servers who's name I did not get. We started with drinks. My wife likes her martini served straight up with no vermouth or fruit. You would think that should be easy to make but you would be surprised how often servers don't listen. This one came perfectly chilled and as orderwd. I had a Tuckermans pale ale. It was ice cold and delicious. When I ordered a second one, it was brought over very quickly. I never went dry. We shared an order of buffalo wings and the Grand Slam burger. They both came out hot and were excellent. My only suggestion would be to ask for the wings to be cooked just a little longer to crisp them up. But this is just my preference. The burger was huge and cooked medium as ordered. Good fries as well. Kamara was an excellent waitress and also very personable. We will...
