My family ordered a #5 dinner plate, two #15 dinner plates, a beef burrito, chips and salsa, and sides of beans and rice. The stuffed sopapilla, #5 is supposed to come with a tortilla. They forgot it. Their fajita plate, #15, DOES NOT come with a tortilla, so you have to order it separatly- This is the only restaurant I've ever heard of that doesn't include tortillas with a fajita plate. The steak strips were dry, overcooked and flavorless. The portion of onions and bell peppers was too small compared to the portion of steak.
The salsa for the chips and salsa is green, but not remotely hot. Also, the quantity of salsa given isn't nearly enough for the amount of chips. The green chili on the #5 was also not hot at all, and largely devoid of flavor.
The Spanish rice was dry, and the guacamole was runny, and obviously store bought- processed and bland. The only redeeming quality of the entire meal was the refried beans- they were descent.
I will not be returning, and honestly, I have no idea why this place has such a high Google review average. I can't speak for the other menu items, but if what we ordered is what you want, your money is best...
Read moreMy husband and I passed through town. While we were at the laundry mat we asked a local what was good and he recommended this place. My husband began a conversation with someone else and they also recommended it so we of course HAD TO GO. The beans were super good, the rice was alright. My husband’s burrito was so so good. The tortilla was elite and so soft. The chips and salsa verde were SUPER good. I got the Juarez plate, and it was ok, it was a very small portion of meat in the taquito and taco. It honestly just felt like I was eating a lot of lettuce on the taco. The service was ok, the cashier was polite. The server didn’t come out until a little while later she took our order and forgot a few things, but we were on a bit of a time crunch (our pet was in the car and the car was still running) The server didn’t realize she forgot and we did ask for some stuff that she did forget about. She did take it off our bill. Also the...
Read moreMe and my girlfriend came into this place as we were passing through town. As we walked in, we were greeted by Marcos, who was a gracious host, friendly, inviting, and just an overall joy to have met. The food was phenomenon. And if you guys are looking at these reviews to figure out a place to eat you found it. This place is by far the best place we’ve stopped on our trip from California to Georgia. I recommend the supreme burrito with both meats Christmas style with the side enchiladawith the shredded brisket and a fried egg on top. Trust me you will not be disappointed this place is a gem of Albuquerque Marcos. If you read this thank you again server it...
