The service at this location is dismal. I walked in tonight and didn’t notice the door hadn’t shut behind me. After I entered, the male employee stomped behind me and briskly shut the door as I was walking towards the counter. I gave him the benefit of the doubt thinking the door might’ve closed hard due to the wind so I apologized. He didn’t acknowledge my apology and proceeded to be quite curt as I was ordering. Whatever, things happen. At this point I wasn’t that bothered. I then get to the drink station and asked the girl for tea (the station was empty like they had taken the canister back to fill it) to which she replied “No.” Seriously, that’s all she said before walking away. I don’t drink soda so my only option was lemonade or water which I wouldn’t have ordered if I had known those limited options before checking out.
The mood was tense and unwelcoming while I ate as the two employees were clearly trying to have a private conversation they didn’t appreciate me there for. I was doing my best to mind my own business, but at the same time I was hungry and didn’t want to eat in the car. Plus, I was hurrying through my dinner so I could leave them to whatever it was they needed privacy to discuss. After my hurried meal, I went back to the counter to order take-away for my son. As I stated earlier, those two were in a serious conversation but it didn’t warrant her looking up at me like “What do you want?” She then rolled her eyes before starting the order. I honestly should’ve just left at that point but for some reason I didn’t. While paying I realized that she had been cleaning earlier and I didn’t notice her change gloves before making the sandwich. I asked just to double-check because this girl was legitimately distracted by the conversation I interrupted when I walked up. She proceeded to respond very rudely so I just paid and threw the sandwich away at home because I seriously do not think she had changed those gloves.
If the manager happens to read this check your cameras for the recording on Sunday August 10th around 5:45 PM. I don't think your employee changed her gloves after she emptied the trash before making...
Read moreThis place loves to tip shame you through their POS and App. Ordered a $6.99 sub for curbside pickup. There is a sign outside their door that states: “We’ll bring your order right out!” The cashier never greeted me and did not put napkins in my bag.
Was it because I didn’t leave a tip on the app? Some customers prefer paying a tip with cash! I also prefer leaving a tip for services rendered. Lowered my rating of this place from five stars to four star.

This location definitely does NOT feel like a restaurant chain/franchise, it definitely has more of a neighborhood friendly restaurant, and all that is accomplished by the owner Steven Baca and his staff. The staff is very friendly and engaging, and Steven has always gone way above and beyond on making sure his customers are happy. I’ve had a few hiccups on ordering through the Subway App, but Steven has always been more then accommodating in rectifying the situation.
