My wife just ate at this location along with a whole baseball team for outside the area She said food was great, but a waitress mix up cost us $16+ and the owner wouldn't comp. the meal. My wife ordered a burger for my son. While my wife was in restroom the waitress told my son the burger wasn't in the kitchen so the waitress ordered another one for him. Well....two burgers came to the table and they made my wife pay for both? Like they couldn't understand the logic! So the owner wouldn't even talk to my wife about it, instead she had manager say that they couldn't take charge off guest check. Pretty pathetic and will never ever drop a dime on this place again. It is truly a shame that the owner only cares about money. I'm sure the burger didn't even cost them $5. Well you lost several customers and when ball team plays there again we will go elsewhere. We like supporting local olaces, but that quite possibly could have been the worst service that we have ever encountered anywhere. UPDATE The owner's response is simply not the truth. You gave my wife a one word answer twice. She asked if it was made twice and you responded "yep" then she asked if she was stuck with it and you said "yep" You never bothered to find out the details, had u talked to your waitress, who happened to be the one that actually placed the order for my son, because she said that it wasn't made the first time, And the waitress APOLOGIZED and said it was her fault. Then you dropped the ball and left. You instructed the manager not to comp the meal! I'm in the food industry and our baseball team single handedly gave u around $700ish in business, which u should be thankful for. That burger doesn't cost more than $5 to make. Your server and your ignorance are at fault. You believe what u want and keep my money for nothing, We didn't want two burgers, but we paid for an extra one because of your waitress. Good luck...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of hosting a surprise birthday party at Bluegills Bar and Grill, and I cannot express how thrilled I am with the entire experience. From the moment I reached out to inquire about their event planning services to the last guest leaving the party, Bluegills exceeded my expectations in every way.
First and foremost, the highlight of the event was undoubtedly the stunning patio area. Bluegills' outdoor space is an absolute gem! With a beautiful view of the river, cozy Adirondack seating, stage area, cornhole, and ample room for our party of 50, it was the perfect setting for our celebration. The ambiance was relaxed and inviting.
The staff at Bluegills deserves a special mention. They were exceptionally attentive, friendly, and accommodating throughout the planning process and the event itself. The professionalism and commitment to making our party a success were evident in every interaction. They seamlessly handled all the details, from setting up decorations to coordinating with the kitchen for a special menu (shout out to Brandy!).
Speaking of the menu, the food and drinks were a hit with everyone! Bluegills offers a delectable range of options, and our guests raved about the quality and flavors of the dishes. The drink selection was impressive, with a variety of craft beers and signature cocktails that catered to every taste.
What truly sets Bluegills apart is their dedication to ensuring a memorable experience. They went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and make the birthday celebration unique at a reasonable price. The attention to detail and personalized service made the event feel...
Read moreTraveling up from Harrisburg, we were in the area visiting family. I found this place on Yelp, saw the high rating, and we decided to try it. I loved this place! There's a large lot, so parking is easy. We were greeted promptly and warmly by the hostess. The interior is clean and bright with an appropriate seashore vibe. Our waiter was prompt and very friendly. He even used, "Excuse my reach," if he had to go across the table to deliver a meal or pick up plates. It's not necessary, I guess, but I really appreciated that and immediately pegged him as professional and great at his job, which he was. I wish I could remember his name to give a personal shout-out. Everything we had was delicious! Being from Louisiana, my cousin let me try the shrimp on her poboy since I'm an "expert." Theu were SO good - fresh and plump, not dry at all. My aunt had a reuben, which she really enjoyed. I had a club which was ginormous and delicious! The meat, in particular, was so flavorful, which can be a problem with cold cuts sometimes. Not here! The fries were some of the best I've had. They're hand cut, which is something I really like, and they were perfectly seasoned. We all agreed we would definitely return when we are back in the area. Total...
