I rarely write reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was deeply upsetting and needs to be shared. As a Black customer, I was treated very differently from the non-Black customers around me, and it was impossible not to notice.
From the moment I walked in, the staffβs tone and body language made it clear I wasnβt welcome. While other customers were greeted warmly, I was met with coldness and hesitation. My table was ignored for long stretches of time, even though staff were attentive to others who arrived after me. When I tried to get assistance, the responses were dismissive and impatient.
What hurt the most was watching white customers receive polite, quick service while I was left waiting and overlooked. It wasnβt about being βbusyβ or a misunderstandingβit was a pattern that was impossible to ignore. The difference in treatment was blatant and humiliating.
Experiencing racism in 2025, especially in a business that should value every customer, is painful and unacceptable. I want other Black customers to be aware of how differently they may be treated here. No one should feel unwelcome or lesser just because of their skin color.
Management should take a serious look at their staffβs behavior, because word spreads quickly when a restaurant shows prejudice. Until changes are made, I cannot recommend this place to anyone who values respect, dignity, and...

Upon my maiden voyage to Alexandria's Zorbaz, something which had been building with anticipation for quite some time, my overall experience was disappointing. While the service was pretty good, friendly bartender and the cook came out to ask us how the food was, nice touches certainly. Unfortunately, the food lacked the same quality.
If you like extremely BLAND Mexican food, maybe this is your locale. Considering the pallets of Scandinavians, their attempts are probably in good faith. But when you get burritos that are super dry, lack color of any sort, and come with Ortega salsa packets for the same price as a meal at a nicer restaurant elsewhere. The tortillas are about as bland as it gets. Lowest quality shredded salad I've had since a ChiChis. Accompaniments are sour cream and more shredded lettuce.
Beer selection is pretty good for Alexandria. Not as many local craft beers as a devotee would like but solid selection for a weekend out. Hard liquor wins Zorbaz no points and is certainly not their niche.
Overall, this experience was disappointing and only made better by the above average service. If you were to start a restaurant, my suggestion would be that you focus your menu on quality...

If I could give zero stars, I would. This bar is not just unprofessionalβit is dangerous and deeply complicit in hate.
A group of visibly racist patrons violently pulled wigs off a group of girls, clearly targeting them in a disgusting display of aggression and bigotry. And what did the staff and management do? Nothing. No apology. No intervention. No removal of the offenders. They stood by, silent, effectively endorsing the assault and humiliation that took place in their establishment.
Let me be perfectly clear: this wasnβt just a βbad nightβ or an unruly customer incident. This was a hate crime, and the barβs failure to act speaks volumes about the kind of people they are willing to protect and profit from.
If you value basic human decency, if you care even a little about safety, dignity, or justice, do not set foot in this place. Your money and presence would only support an establishment that turns a blind eye to racism and violence. They deserve every ounce of public scrutiny, and I sincerely hope they are held accountable by their community and the law.
Shame on this bar. Shame on its staff. Shame on...
