Went for the chicken wing special on Thursday (you have to drive around then go through the back to the bar entrance to get the wing deal). 85 cent full wings were the current price. The seasoned wings paired with ranch were really good. The missing star was because the service was really bad. I met friends but was in more of a hurry so I ordered before they did. I asked for a water, twice. I ate 6 wings never getting a water then just decided to cut my losses, left money for the check on the table, and just took the rest of my wings home. Yes, I even grabbed my own to go box from the waitress station. I, however, understand that the service industry can get busy. My wings did come out quickly and were a 9/10 themselves. They seemed to be understaffed a bit, in the bar anyways as the bartender was pulling double duty. None of the negatives will stop me from going back, especially because I want to try this famous fish off theirs.

Food & service was quick with large portion sizes. However I was told the potatoes would be grilled not deep fried and I asked for well well done. They apperrd ti be deep fried and slightly grilled. The biscuits were hard and crunchy except where they were buttered. The gravey tasted like hotel gravey from a can. The 3 stars goes to the nice server and the good pancakes & eggs.

Drove 1.5 hours to get their fish sandwich. Use to live in freeport but now live in clarion county. No one has a fish sandwich like The Snyders Bonfire. We will keep coming back !!

Experience here was fantastic. The rustic, small town bar vibe is amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, even apologizing for a longer than normal wait time for my order; they had a party of 15 or 20 something downstairs so I'm not too upset about that.

Firstly, wait times. No worries about that, generally speaking that's the least of my concerns ever, and I've worked at restaurants/bars and know how that goes sometimes

Secondly, the menu choices. Even though they have a smaller menu, they have quite a good variety of choice for breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and sides. Which is always a good thing for smaller overall menu sizes.

Now for the food I ordered for myself; as i cannot speak for the party i was with.

I ordered the Zucchini Planks, and the Fried green beans as appetizers. For one, the Zucchini Planks were evenly sliced, on the thicker side of that mind you, the breading was an excellent balance between seasoned flavor and thickness of the batter used, the zucchini itself was perfectly soft and melty on the inside with a sweeter taste that contrasted the saltier batter, the homemade style ranch sauce for dipping was thick, but well crafted between the buttermilk and overall flavor. The fried green beans are very similar, however the batter tasted sweeter while the green beans tasted salty. Overall fantastic. The green beans have quickly became my favorite appetizer in any restaurant period.

I ordered, i believe, the double stack burger. I got it work American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, sauteed mushrooms and green peppers, no mayo, no condiments, a bit plain Jane. Now, i normally get my burgers well done with no pink. This burger had some slight pink to it, but that was absolutely fine by me, since one, despite the greasiness of the patty's, they seem to use a leaner fat/meat ratio, of which The flavors melted together in a symphony of awesome. This burger is huge, a lot larger than i was anticipating, but it did not sit heavy in my stomach. I tend to avoid red meats in restaurants because i have issues with the higher fat mixtures most tend to use, but this burger treated me well. I loved every moment i was eating this monster of a burger.

I did get a side of Cottage cheese with it as well, but there's really not much that can be said about cottage cheese that isn't something you already know about it.

In conclusion; I absolutely will be stopping here again, the vibe of the place, with the good food, and good people makes this place an excellent choice to come to if you haven't tried it before, or a place to come back to again for another round

Phenomenal culture...

I was very up set,i dont live in that area anymore. I was there visiting family. And remembered how good the food was so i wanted to go and eat good home cooked meal. Well that didn't happen!!! I ordered a ham steak, and mashed potatoes with a salad. After waiting for 45 minutes, mind you there was only TWO other tables one had there food and the other came in after my aunt and I arrived. Finally our food comes out the ham steak was so thin that i could see through it,the mashed potatoes was like liquid and it had been warmed up in the microwave, and it was nasty. The only thing that was good was the dressing for the salad. The service was horrible. My aunt got hot roast beef, tasted like cardboard, they also warmed it in the microwave it was so dry and gross. Unfortunately i will not be returning. GOOD MEMORIES GONE BAD!!!!! On the other, found a wonderful restaurant in leechburg, great service and amazing food. Right across the bridge on the left in the...
