I really wish I could rate this place better but the food was nearly inedible. Out of 4 of us the 3 that got the brisket couldnt finish it. One had about 2 bites and couldnt finish, another had a few more than that and tapped out. I thought it was ok and then I hit something, no idea what it was, but it tasted unlike anything I've had and thats not in a good or interesting way. The coworker that had the pork made it all the way through without issue. The green beans were good, but 2 that got mac and cheese couldnt eat that as well. I have no idea what they did to the cornbread but it was like a bland, overcooked, thick cornbread pancake. Maybe thats just a local way of doing it but none of us were fans. The young lady up front was nice and the food came out pretty quick. I had both the regular sauce and hot, but neither were anything to rave about. So 3/3 brisket orders were just awful. Food - pulled pork was moist and flavorful with some pink maroon smoke ring evident. Beef was shredded and smelled good, but I did not eat that. Friend said it was really good. Bbq beans were really good. I mixed mine with the pork and some mild sauce, which was delicious. That's just how I eat mine. But alone each one was worth coming back for. Mac n cheese was very bad bland tasting fake, needed real cheeses, butter, and seasonings. I won't order that again. Potato salad was tangy and very yellow like a store brand, it was okay. My own home made potato salad is hard to beat. You get a choice of bread, bun, cornbread.. I skipped as I don't eat store bread. I make all my own. Prices were very fair for meat and 2. We have intended to stop here for several years. We have heard rave reviews about the bbq here. We stopped on a Saturday night around 5pm. My hisband and I each ordered a pulled pork plate. I have grown up in the south where bbq is a religion. The taste was disappointing at best. I will give them credit that it was not greasy. We began to feel sick within a few hours after leaving the place. I am a germaphobe at home and when we went to the doctor it was said it had to be from eating out.
