Update: my dog contracted giardia from this park and she is on preventativesâŠ. I saw employees refill bowls without cleaning
My boyfriend took me and our doberman on a date here. Unlike others whoâve had issues with vaccination documentation, we were actually let in thankfully, though I do think the amount of documentation and vaccines is a bit much considering you donât have to have this at public dog parks. Weird how they donât ask for proof on recent deworming or flea prevention too cause those pose more immediate threats to others dogs, especially worms. While I understand the company has âsafetyâ as top priority, this place also serves alcohol (great combo when youâre supposed to be watching your dogs) and they make it VERY clear all reliability is on the dogs handlers⊠just like any other dog park, itâs a given if you have an aggressive or unruly dog, donât bring them out like that. I was told I have to have my dog spayed at 8 months if she were to be let back in⊠for large breed dogs thatâs actually very unhealthy to have them spayed before 2 when their bones and joints havent fully matured unless itâs absolutely necessary or you cannot prevent unwanted pregnancies. I feel like this would be under the same rule of not allowing dogs with behavioral issues or dogs that are sick etc in the sense that if you have a female in heat or an intact male who you canât keep an eye on well enough, then donât bring them around other peoples dogs Rather than forcing people to remove their healthy reproductive organs. I understand the fear of unwanted pregnancies, but itâs still excessive especially when itâs made very clear the company itself isnât reliable for your dog, you are. Only difference between this place and a public park is adults getting drunk and the company worrying about making their money and not being held reliable for anything rather than the actual functionality and good ideas that could be brought to life here. I do also have an issue with the no cash policy. What a horrible idea. Local businesses depend on cash and itâs so important to keep cash alive in our communities. They also do not take vertical IDs even though we are 22, we were told they only serve horizontal IDsâŠ.the law says 21 and read the date itâs not hard. Maybe invest in an ID scanner or something. what a waste of money we paid $20 to get in and couldnât do anything but throw tennis balls and make sure our 6 month old puppy wasnât getting chased around. Itâd be nice if they had some agility equipment or something. Thatâd make it way more worth it. On top of this, the people just sit around for the most part hardly paying attention to their dogs. My doberman puppy was constantly being chased by this corgi that actually was being very dominant and territorial of this certain area cause it only chased my girl when she somewhat walked near one of the pavilions. the owner barely made any verbal correction to call it off. Dunno if itâs cause my dog was bigger so they think that behavior isnât a problem, but my girl was being very submissive and polite with this dog and if my dog had the same behavior as this corgi did, I most definitely would have called her off immediately and given her a firm âno.â This dog would not let my dog within 30 feet of its handler and thatâs not safe. If it were a large breed doing that you know theyâd get kicked out. Also if safety is top priority, maybe make separate places for large and small breeds? Thatâd reduce a lot of problems Iâm sure⊠Lastly, I did see them refill the water bowls while I was there which is nice, but the past 2 going on 3 with no signs of improvement, my doberman has been sick. The only thing that changed within her day to day was going to this place where she drank the water and played with the tennis balls. So not too happy about that sheâs never been sick until the day after going there. Honestly youâd probably have more fun inviting your friends and your dogs over in your own back yard and just drink from home than pay to go here. Itâs just astroturf, a couple tables,...
Read moreHad an incredibly disappointing experience here today. I actually loved this place and told everyone that they needed to come here. But I have honestly never been treated so rudely by staff in Alpharetta. Jessica Plette who identified herself as the owner was so rude to me and my children and after one moment of conversation told me to âget out of her parkâ. I completely respect the need to be vaccinated and specifically got all of our boosters on 7/5 so we could join this park. No one has mentioned that we needed to do anything else after signing up and today we were told to leave immediately because we donât have expiration dates for our vaccines. Not coming back without it I understand- but being told I was being âkicked outâ was kind of crazy to me. I honestly respect the need for this- but clearly he was vaccinated from the paperwork we were looking at, no one had ever mentioned needing to do something else, and the attitude with which this was delivered was shocking to me. I literally NEVER complain about places but this experience has me completely surprised. I hope they learn that the behavior of their people can impact the experience people have as much as the park.
*I canât respond to the response so I will here. As I told the FB team my dog is a large puppy- we got him 2 months ago and he is a full bred, champion line GSD who is incredibly large. I have his approx birth date on the app which was 1/10/24. I got him from someone who passed away and this is the only info I was able to get. I specifically got his full booster panel to be a member of the park. Your team- who typically is lovely and kind- failed to give me full instructions as it was pouring outside when we joined and they were flustered. No one had talked to me about it since that time. My 8 year old child doesnât know my dogs bday, which is what you are referencing. Your CFO absolutely did tell me to âstop complaining and leave her parkâ. I donât want to argue but please donât misrepresent the situation. I specifically remember because she said to leave âher parkâ. I was shocked at the conversation. I am sorry if my shock made me upset, but there were several opportunities to inform me about this before I had to evacuate my large puppy and two kids from the opposite end of the park after already entering. Again, if I had been informed before, I would have never come back without what was needed. Your other points are untrue and misleading. I have had a great relationship with all of your other employees with zero discussion as to this matter before this time. I donât think the employed meant to misinform me but not one time was I told I needed to bring this info or I would be unable to enter the park. I only saw the notice yesterday after logging in to cancel my membership. My point was and remains that I was disappointed by how the CFO and employee handled the situation when a simple conversation and some preemptive info was all that was needed. I wholeheartedly disagree with your assessment of the situation and which of us acted inappropriately, I am sorry you disagree. I was shocked a CFO would act that way with...
Read moreI was thrilled to find Fetch for socializing my GSP puppyâits stylish layout, friendly staff, and cleanliness really stood out. I also appreciated the strict vaccination requirements, which showed a commitment to the dogsâ health and safety. However, my experience was marred by frequent dog fights during our visits, an issue that might be common in dog parks, but still concerning.
Fetch operates on a membership model and doubles as a bar, which is an interesting concept. Unfortunately, managing the membership proved frustrating. Access to account details was impossible via both the app and the website. It was only after a perplexing conversation with the staff that I learned cancellations couldnât be handled onsite but had to be emailed to a scarcely mentioned corporate address. Moreover, despite cancelling before the next billing cycle, my account was still charged, although they did issue a refund eventually.
While the park itself is visually appealing and some friends have had positive experiences, the opacity surrounding membership management and cancellations significantly dented my trust in their operations. The bar doesnât add enough value to justify a membership either. I rated them two out of five stars, recognizing the potential but hampered by the lack of...
